Not going to lie, I cried watching this MV. I'm still having a hard time facing ONF's situation, but they made me so proud this comeback I couldn't help but sob a little. Sad times. So we know how ONFs story line was to find Laun, well now that he is not part of the group that story will not have a happy ending. They will never find him. I think this MV is showing that, I wonder if the one in the cylinder thing was Laun. (Couldve been Wyatt) but if it was supposed to be Laun, then Hyojin not saving him symbolizes that they can't. *Edit* : New info has been given to me. The one in the cyrochamber is Wyatt. But I still think the part about them not being able to have a happy ending is true. Someone told me the order of MVs is On/Off>We Must Love>Why>Complete. Complete is more happy. Laun is in it and the story isnt as sad. But I dont think it's the true ending, I think it's a dream or a hope. What life would be like if they did find him. Or what life would be like if they weren't android machines or whatever they are. But you guys theorize how ever you want. If you think it has a happy ending then great! But I hope more comes out of this story. It's very clever, and I think Laun leaving caused them to switch the way the order the MVs went so they could have a happy ending. I'm not sure though, what are your thoughts?

ONF's 'Why' and TXT 'Nap of a Star' are literally the only music videos I really believe do justice to film, tv, and media in general. this is the type of video i hope to see in Fourth Generation kpop :)

yes please do. their MV's always tell a story and they are all connected. this one is about androids going back to the past to find their identity and they look for pandora's box to grant their wish of being together forever. eventually its a fight between androids and humans. its a prequel to their MV Complete. and their other mv's are connected to this too.

@@kneebrain9298 ahaa sadly they never released or talked a lot about their universe. It's all still hidden and will be revealed through MV's slowly. People have asked me to make a video about it but I myself don't get any further than time travel and androids xD The only thing they said is that (some of them) are androids and there is a conflict going on. In WHY they are looking for Panora's box. In We Must Love I think they were going back in time? Im already so confused. Even Complete is actually kinda dark if u look at the lyrics. Everyone has their theories but ONF never revealed anything (and tbh I don't think they themselves have been told the whole story yet xD.) But it's really cool! Just check out the MV's (and for why also the multiple teasers called "Signal") and find ur own conclusions! (Btw Sukhumvit Swimming is a spinoff of the main story. There might be some parallels which can help you deduce some stuff in the main timeline, but do know its not part of the official main storyline)

okay, but the music video though? (the song is so good, i'll have it playing on repeat in my head for weeks, i'm sure) the music video is actual art though? the aerial shots and establishing shots used (2:57), with the glitching as a transition?(0:38) like genius. also, you can tell a high-tech digital camera was used for the aerial shots and it literally made me wanna cry. the production gone into this is astounding and i honestly if people don't know ONF, at least respect the work that's gone into their music, videos and everything they've done. the narrative though?? i can't- it's just- i need to re-watch 'We Must Love' because now i really wanna go and try to find different threads and links between the two. there's so much to take out of the video and narrative, but also the grand narrative? like having the boys around the woods and such raw nature and then juxtaposing it with these glitches?(2:52) that reminds me of how we live in a very media saturated society. when the shots came with the city that was covered in holographs and brands,(3:12) it reminded me of 'Blade Runner' and the neo noir genre used for the film- gah! i can't, i commend the director and production company, for making this piece of art.

I'm looking for the connections too, and the grand story outline. I've gone through their debut song, to complete, to we must love and this and it's hurting my head. Right now I just kind of really hoping for a 2 hour movie about this plotline with these kinds of cinematography because their concept sounds so epic.

I think I might stan this group after this being only my second mv I‘ve ever watched by ONF. I’ve seen a few months ago I believe We Must Love and I was taken by surprise by how beautiful both mv and song were. They have insane cinematography in their mvs which I haven’t seen in this way with other groups so far. Is there an overarching story that is told throughout their mvs? And I’m sorry I basically know nothing of this group, except for these two songs. But I’ll start learning about them because I believe they might really deserve more attention.

MeralK. There is an overarching plot! It starts with on/off (their debut), then complete, then we must love, and now why. All of their music videos have to so with separation and finding one another. The basic plot is that everyone is an android looking for laun since he is lost in time/another universe. Sadly, laun left the group about a month ago for undisclosed personal reasons, so i think we can assume they never found him :// but thank you so much for checking our boys out! They need the love now more than never

I wouldn't be lying if I said that this is the best mv that I have ever seen in my entire life. I have been following various kpop groups for over 5 years now, but I have never met one that has this kind of extreme quality in their mv's. All the effects, colors, expressions and feelings in this mv make me think how much potential ONF has. All of their mv's like We must love for example, all have this same quality of videos, always making everyone watching them reactive to the amount of effort and work put in. You may not even know the group that well, but you feel like you are watching one of those Oscar nominated movies with a story that marks you deeply. The music too, especially in the chorus, transports you to that whole scenario portrayed in the video, you feel the music. ONF deserves much more recognition because everything they do impresses everyone who sees it, no matter if they are KPOP related or not. They are the group that surprised me the most in this whole journey. There's no one else like them.
