For those who are new. This is not a debut song, it is a part of their "Going Seventeen" album that was released on 5 Dec. Seventeen has 13 members, divided into 3 subunits that they are specialise in. There are vocal unit, performance unit and hip hop unit. This is performance unit song. That explained why there are only 4 of them here. There are Hoshi(black hair), Jun (blue hair) , The8 (blonde) and Dino (diamond maknae) . Hoshi along with Bumzu composed this song. The8 wrote the chinese lyrics in this song and of course they choreograph themselves. Vocal unit composed of Jeonghan, Joshua, Woozi, DK and Seungkwan. While Vernon, S.Coups, Wonwoo and Mingyu is in the hip hop unit. Lastly, the fandom name is Carat 😄😄😄

Jacqueline seventeen have 3 sub-units; vocal, hip hop, and performance. vocal has 5 members, and hip hop and perf both have 4. performance unit choreographs all their songs along with their actual choreographer who helps them (heard they only help with title tracks but all other tracks are 100% the perf unit who choreographs but i'm not sure) and they, well, are the best performers/dancers in the group. Althoug that doesn't mean they don't habe other parts in the group since 3/4 of the perf unit are vocals and 1 is a rapper

Jacqueline performance unit is one of seventeen's 3 units (vocal unit, hip hop unit and performance unit) :) hoshi (the one with black hair), who is the leader of performance team choreographs seventeen's dances. The rest of perf unit also helps him with that😊 hoshi has also composed this song btw :) Hip hop unit makes rap for svt's songs and makes mixtapes like 'check in' for example. The leader of vocal unit (woozi) makes most of svt's songs (basically all of svt's title tracks are made by him and bumzu). Vocal unit also does stuff like singing acoustic versions of svt's songs, and joshua is the one who does the re-arranging for that😊 Hopefully this helped. Im a carat and im really happy so many new viewers are finally liking Seventeen and seeing their amazingness and considering joining the fandom. Seventeen have so much to show, they're so talented, they have the whole package, they can do a diversity of things however to some people it doesn't show based on their normal concept most international fans don't tend to look for much. This is why you shouldn't judge a group on first appearance, they can pull of so many concepts, bright, fresh, hip hop, ballad, dark, you name it. The best thing about it is they do everything themselves literally, the produce the songs, the lyrics, the choreography. If you want to stan talent and 13 amazing boys you will want to protect forever, please stan Seventeen, you won't regret it. Slip into the diamond life xD

Idk the reason why I just began stanning Seventeen is because I WAS judging on first appearance when I first sampled them. Unfortunately, the first impression is EVERYTHING and makes the difference between ignoring and stanning. My first impression of Seventeen was that their songs were kind of boring and too peppy and they were cute but the concept was just too colorful and everything. My personal experience with K-Pop is exactly one year ago, I was watching a bunch of Buzzfeed K-pop videos, I was remembering Psy's popularity, my friends showed me K-pop a two years ago, and I wanted new music to listen to so I decided to google EXO who my friends really liked a while back (but now they're into Anime and not K-pop so I'm a lonely fan :( ) My first impression of EXO was good because I liked the music (it was Call Me Baby), they had weird outfits, good voices, pretty men, etc. Then I clicked on a dance practice video for BTS Dope and immediately became a hardcore fan after watching Dope. I loved the music, their energy, the concept of working hard and balling, their voices, the choreo, and basically everything. My first impression of BTS was really good. Basically, Seventeen hasn't had a good past or very good showcasing of their talent which is turning people away. Their talent isn't immediately noticeable with their past songs and they have a kind of lowkey reputation. I hope they continue to produce songs that show their all-around skill instead of songs that are too soft for them.

I understand they haven't been on many shows to showcase it like 'Hit The Stage' for their dancing skills etc but they have been on other shows like masked singer etc. and i agree that they need more opportunities to show it to new fans. Everyone has different preferences, and what got them popularity in the first place was their unique, fresh, teenage, bright concept. They created everything themselves and people love them for their authenticity and self-producing and talent. You don't see groups like Seventeen these days. Tbh I don't like it when people only talk about groups with hard, strong concepts like they're the only ones showing talent. Not to hate but groups like BTS, BigBang, EXO, GOT7, they all mainly have that once concept that draws international fans in and that is generally hip hop, dark etc. I don't think it's fair only groups like this are recognised when their concepts are getting overused these days too and you don't see many diverse, unique groups like Seventeen. A good talented group is well rounded and can do a diversity of things like Seventeen. The only thing is that the dark, hardcore, hip hop concepts appeal more to international fans and thats what they like more and catches their attention that's what I'm talking about. I think people especially international fans new to svt don't realise that they only started liking Seventeen once they did a concept like this, when their fans have always loved their bright cute concepts and we can see their talent just from that and not only concepts like this. That's why Seventeen has their own style. tbh if Seventeen started out as a group doing that generic concept every other boy group does like hip hop dark etc. they would be forgotten quick, also it doesn't express their image well. With the fresh, bright concepts they make a name for themselves, people instantly label their songs as 'cute' when there's so much more to it. People shouldn't judge so quickly and look more into group and hear more songs from them. That's what I do and end up liking so many groups because I'm not close minded and judge straight away. And i dont really understand the 'lowkey reputation' bit? They've also always showed songs that show their good skill and talent from singing and dancing. It's not just songs like this that show it. You can see it from their side tracks in their albums, they have sucha wide diversity of genres that people miss who dont see Seventeen closely. The songs they've already shown were created themselves which is already amazing and they're not 'too soft', it's not always the strong images that show a groups talent.

For all those asking - because I'm seeing several of the same repeated questions: Seventeen has 3 units, 13 members, and they are 1 as a group which is why they are called 17. There is the Performance unit - the one performing in this video- consisting of the 2 China Line members The8 (Minghao), Jun (Junhui), and Hoshi - Performance team leader-(Kwon Soonyoung) and Dino (Lee Chan). There is also the Rap Unit consisting of S.Coups- Rap Unit Leader and also Seventeen's leader- , Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Vernon. And last but not least there is the Vocal unit consisting of Seungkwan, Woozi ( vocal team leader), Joshua, DK, and Jeonghan. I would not call this unit a sub-unit persay like Exo's CBX. They are just 3 separate units but in one team under the name of Seventeen. I hope this helped. :)

Okay as someone who stans the performance unit above all the other units and has been demanding for over a year and a half now that they get just as much representation as the other two units I'm so happy. Like, when I say I screamed when I saw this was just the performance unit, I mean it. I'm so proud of all four of these boys they all have worked so hard to come to where they are now. For Chan, this kid has gotten so good even since debut, and his rapping skills have gotten so much better as well as his dancing and I'm excited to see what else he can do. For The8 (my little MingHao), this boy has blossomed so much from this shy young kid who couldn't really speak Korean into this confident kid who's crushing all the lines he gets no matter how long they are and his potential is limitless. For Hoshi, god I swear he's the maknae sometimes haha but he's so talented and I want to see more doors open for him and get him some solo dance moments @ Pledis he deserves them because he's so fabulous. And Wen Junhui, god this kid. As someone who stanned Seventeen predebut it's crazy how much he's grown. Whenever they give Jun small lines I'm always like "Wtf" because pre debut this kid here and Seungkwan did a duet and it was beautiful and he deserves so much more than his 2 seconds of lines he gets but wow. I can't wait to see what Jun does and I hope they'll get him a kdrama or two in the future. I'm so proud of all of them and I feel like such like a mom rn because just wow. Those are my boys :')
