Also remember he scored zero penalties. Other strikers usually get like 5-8 free goals from penalties a season. So Højlund actually had a 21-24 goal season. Not bad at all.

@@mresquidgeward5965 his movement in the box is superb. His movement outside the box is sub par. Man Utd currently being a transition team limits the other aspects of his game. An easy advice to him when playing as the target man would be: once you successfully execute a hold up play, try not to run with the ball but rather limit yourself to two touches so you can make the run to arrive at the box for the final ball. He can get an extra five goals from this alone

Fast, Strong, Can shoot off both feet, good first touch, decent passer, decent holder. It hasn’t been a prolific season but we have seen a well rounded 21 year old who’s only going to get better in the next few seasons so long as he works on his game. I back him to net 20+ next season. Get em Rasmus 😎

Hojlund is a big guy and the way he moves with the ball and at the speed he does move at is great technical striker but can do some dirty finishing if it's a needs must if he's team can play for him he will get more goals and the greatest thing about him is he creates something on his own aswell he definitely got flavor to him

pls can we start playing Hojlund as more of a dynamic striker? i hate to c this finisher-esk striker that just makes runs and waits for the ball. we're missing out on so much of what made us sign Hojlund in the first place. he has the dribbling, the pace, the strenght, in other words the foundation, to really become a complete striker. but this idea of playing him as this finisher is rly just boring. a lot of his highlights were him on the ball, with the ball. Atalanta knew how to play him effectively and understood his skillset, at Utd we're just playing him as some half-assed striker. Hojlund is amazing but it's so sad to c that we arent taking advantage of the very thing that makes him amazing.

The team needs to learn first how to consistently serve him chances. Once they learn how to do that, then its fine to use Hojlund himself in more dynamic roles like the sub appearances at the end where he is essentially initiating quick counter on his own

100% agree. Don't know who told him to constantly run into to the same place in the box wrestling with 3 defenders when he clearly has much more to offer in the general play. Some of his progressive passes are absolutely gorgeous and he should have had at least 5 more assists this season.

Lol I disagree He wasn't as the way you portrayed it at Atalanta He wasn't some 20-goal striker per season as well. The main reason he was bought was because he's young and he has the potential and many time to develop. I understand he gets little service from his teammates but he's also raw. The only Man Utd just have to do is get a good, older, more experienced striker to compliment him, instead of relying too much on him as our forward. He has a lot to learn. 16 goals isn't bad for a striker in a disorganized team. But he's not some Kane, Benzema as you're trying to portray it. Moreover, he presses a lot, he doesn't just stay in the box 24/7. So I don't get your point.

he will score 20 + premier league goals minimum next season with better service As a Arsenal fan, the moment I saw him play against us earlier in the season I knew he was a quality signing gave Gabriel something to think about , physically his hold up and link up play is exceptional I would say better than Haaland in that respect. Score all kinds of goals , strong and has a very deceptive pace and acceleration . Funniest thing about him now is hes still not really getting proper service from his wide players, united just need someone that can cross and play him in more and he will cook. Kinda jealous as we dont have a striker .

context is very key, his finishing accuracy is actually good. With the horrible service he received he still finished with a 16 goal season. That is impressive in a young players first season in the prem. Id only say he needs to work on his timing of his off ball runs, but other than that he can become a complete center forward.

his finishing is very good. He outperformed his XG by 0.13. The eye test also shows he can score different types of goals. It is his XG that is quite low. Due to both having wide forwards rather than wingers and his poor off the ball runs in transitions
