They Hyatt entrance to the pool looked like it had a padlock on it? What was up with that?

Apparently they need to padlock it at night to keep people out. It’s removed during they daytime. My guess is they can’t turn off the magnetic strip reader. When we were there in 2012, we could enter from both sides. This trip Marriott had the proximity reader while Hyatt had the magnetic strip reader. I was surprised Hyatt hadn’t updated their card reader for their entrance
