@@CJ00014 Generally, no. Depending on what game you're playing that kind of input will have different kinds of timings to it. Most of the time something like half-circle back is including the down+forward and down+back inputs because games like these were designed with an arcade stick in mind. As someone who also plays on pad, I'd advise that for any fighting game special move input that you roll your thumb across each of the buttons in a single motion similar to how you would if you were doing it with the analog stick. I know it sounds totally alien compared to any other kind of video game, but that's what works. Individually pressing the buttons on a d-pad one at a time in a sequence isn't gonna do anything no matter how fast you do it
