That's the commentary that the world needs. That was like live sports commentary. That was perfect. Well done.

At that level, making 1 blunder loses you the world champion title.

That camera angle, the only one which cause the clock to be unreadable... like missing half the information. Great commentary anyways

Yes, these are exceptionally-well-done, but it would be even better if the titles contained the DATE these games were originally played, and the PGN file of each game should also be added to the text after each video. Releasing these older games with "pseudo-live" commentary and no date in the title is going to make these games more difficult to find and sort in the future. Why not create a playlist of "Danya Chess Commentary 2021" or something like that? This would take something that is very good, and make it better! - j q t -

Great job Daniel with the play-by-play or should I say the move-by-move. A great game but your coverage made it really exciting! Thank you!!

It's bold of MVL to keep playing his classical repertoire in blitz games. Kasparov said one of the downsides to having a sharp, narrow repertoire is that sometimes you have to "waste" your preparation on blitz and rapid games instead of critical classical matches. MVL doesn't seem to care, and keeps right on playing what he always plays, game after game.

I'm french, and maybe you're right but there's also the fact that MVL doesn't know a lot of répertoires, he often plays the same openings
@theuseraccountname

The upside to doing so is that you played an opening so much, you know how to play it intuitively.

Did you know that R.J. Fischer was a monster playing the Ruy Lopez with the white pieces? Current GMs have nothing on Bobby Fischer. My money is still on the Zeus of chess.

Carlsen would obliterate Fischer in every way. He lost this one due to fantastic performance by MVL, who he's one of a kind on blitz, one of most creative, fast, composed, brain gifted player right now.

@@gooddognigel9992 i have nothing to prove. Peak Fischer lasted 2 years. Carlsen is now world classic champion since 10 years in a row, on an era (like every discipline developped through time) way more stacked of real talented people. His scoring perfect plays is on par with Fischer but with like 10 or 20 x more plays made on career. It sounds pretty clear in fact.

@@samwisehuluberlu2210 you can’t prove anything until somebody invents a time machine and all the players from the past face current players. Until then you can postulate all you want.

@@gooddognigel9992 Lol magnus or mvl would beat fisher 20 times in a row. Today chess are in another dimension. All the players are learning from a huge panel of games played over the last decades. The computer assist them to analyse every games they played two. The difference in the level of play between the seventies and the current level is not comparable. It would almoste be an anacronism.
