Yeah if your combo is to float past your target or to come up short of your target.. No I’m just kidding they would be good discs to bag together.

I am a fan of the Kastaplast Berg. It looks like a pail lid. Comes in great quality K1 plastic. Comes in a heavy weight...not too deep and you can throw it hard without going too far past the basket. Great throwing point and shoot putter.

Absolutely love my Glitch. Can manipulate it so easy for flex shots, flat shots or turnovers. Lands so soft. Main thing is to trust it and snap your wrist with it. Took me a few days to get used to it and now I can throw it on a laser line to just over 200ft.

Fantastic video as always!! I pre-ordered the Glitch after seeing the "trailer" for it. Touch upshots are exactly why I bag it. It is my first lid type disc and I absolutely love it. However, I am still getting used to it. It is, indeed, very light. I also find I can pull it to the right a bit. (If the basket is 12, it will fly towards 12:30-1:00) I also noticed this when throwing my friend's Polecat. Both thrown usually with a fan grip. Maybe something to do with its depth? Have to figure that out. Thank you again, Robbie. You never disappoint. Be blessed!!

I bag my glitch for warm ups/touch shots/short tunnels. At first I wasn’t a fan of the light weight but once you adjust it’s so convenient to have something that will glide straight with such little effort. I used to use the following DX Aviar Putt & Approach - my original and current putting putter. also use it as a throwing putter Classic Blend Warden - putting putter for awhile, but not anymore, but one of my favorite throwing putters DX Aviar3 (current approach disc) for my approaches. I recently got a couple of Glitches and am trying them out. Would never putt with it as it's too light and I don't like the hand feel for putting.I still like the Aviar3 best for < 150' with a tight space around the basket. I call it "The Brick" as it flies exactly like throwing an actual brick! Am really new to the Glitch, so haven't got an answer on it yet, but am trying it out for < 180' approaches. Thanks for another great video and thanks for sharing.

I bag the glitch and berg. Glitch mainly for warmups but also those short tee shots where I can rely on just a snap of the wrist and glide it there. Berg for more touchy FH approach shots, But def is a small flaw when you can't get a heavier version of the glitch.

Great video! I personally don't bag lid type discs often. Sometimes a Nova. I just can't get away from my super beat up Rhinos. I did get a Glitch and dyed it fun colors. It's nice just to have it for warm ups and to enjoy the fun factor. A max weight version could possibly replace my Nova.

I bag the glitch and I love it. It was a instant bag for me I use it in nearly all my upshots and I even use it as my putting putter for c2/circles edge. I have the confidence that if I miss its not going far past for that comeback. I've even gotten a few chain hits from 150 away in 15ish mph wind so the light 145g doesn't bother me at all. It's definitely a great training disc for learning the value of spin, so now all my discs have been flying better afterwards

I got a Glitch last weekend and did one round at a pitch and putt. I likely will bag it, but I feel like I need a couple more rounds with it to get a feel for the distance with it. It tends to slowly float on past where I aim. I'm not used to so much glide, but I love throwing it.

the day i tested out my glitch at my home course, it got pretty windy lol. in a tail wind it drops SO fast. it's my first lid type disc and i love it! made some pretty great upshots with it. holds an anhyzer line super well. because of the weight you can get some close range angles on it too. like a big tree or bush in the way of a little 40ft shot.

Great content as always, RC. I'm going to but a Glitch as a result (sorry, no Polecat!). One idea for content for you might be imparting more spin. It kills me when I watch tournaments and see the Pros discs land and spin forever. Although I can't see my own it just seems like they might "poop out" then land/dive/stop flying. I haven't seen a decent video the focuses on the wrist motion in a backhand throw. Should we curl in? If so, when? Is this the same as "snap" and, if not, why? You might combine this with the between midrange & putter distance up-shots you reference. A standstill snap / floater could be a valuable thing. I just "throw it" using a form I've never thought about! Maybe there are some gems in my rant?
@Tekila02 жыл бұрын
Great video Robbie! I have bagged a polecat for years, I got it while still and beginner and thought i'd like it for putting, I usually only throw it on upshots now though. Its in Dx and is fairly understable for me now but I just picked up a glitch a week ago and it flys completely different than my polecat ever did. I guess its the weight and glide but I can get so much more left right movement on hyzer and anhyzer lines. I can float nose up runs at the basket with my polecat as well but the glitch always finds a way to stay closer to the basket if I miss.

Thanks for giving some time to these discs. I’ve been introducing a student that I work one one one with to the sport and I know he needs one of these. He’s a paraplegic, so without and lower body movement helping his throw, he doesn’t have much speed at all. I was initially thinking about the polecat because of the depth of the grip fitting his hand better, but with the light weight, 1 speed, and 7 glide, I think the Glitch is the better choice. Who knows, maybe one for him this Christmas and then the other next year if he’s liking it. Thanks again.

Those might be difficult to find. Glitch is going to have a restock though. One option that might have better availability is Latitude's Bite. It's like lightweight Sonic. Or an understable putter, Prodigy's PA5 for example. DDC frisbee came to my mind as well, but those might be too flippy and difficult to throw.
@scotranney84562 жыл бұрын
Nice vid! One thing, I've been heavily using the Glitch over the past couple weeks, including many throws in a three day tourney this past weekend. I did not see many issues in the wind with this disc providing I got the spin rate up. Without good spin, this disc will get thrown around like a leaf in the wind, but with a good pop, the wind barely effects it. It is very touchy to nose angle, and required nose up for the big glide, so maybe I was adjusting the nose angle a bit while throwing in the wind. Also, I probably didn't use it for anything over 150'. Upshots, especially low ceiling upshots, and long low ceiling putts are where it shines for me (as well as catch and throw for warmups.)

I was lucky enough to grab a glitch the day it dropped bc I happened to be at an awesome pro shop. I was also fortunate enough to talk to the local pro about it and his insight was super helpful. He said don’t try to throw it full power like a regular disc, it’s meant to be tossed lightly and rely on its glide, similar to an ultimate disc. If you get the approach wrist flick down it’ll go dead straight for 150 feet. Also the light weight is half an MVP thing, where they make discs lighter with their gyro overmold. The glitch is probably extra light to work with the glide aspect I mentioned, but a lot of their discs are lighter than other brands

Loving my Glitch so far. Like you mentioned, generating spin and developing touch were missing from my game. I think the Glitch is helping with that. I’ve had a couple of 60’ throw-ins already. My major knock on the Polecat is availability. It’s really hard to find them in premium plastic.

I love my Glitch (144g) and you’ll have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands. I mainly use it for those times where I’m on the edge of C2 out to 80-90 feet or so (well outside my putting range) and there’s a low ceiling or something to that effect. Robbie’s right you do have to commit to the throw with it, but less than I’d have to with a 173g putter under the same circumstances. The same effort that’d leave me 30 feet short of the pin with a putter puts me next to it (or at max 15-20 feet beyond if I try to run it. He’s also right that it sucks on windy days.

One disc has been overlooked Robbie C. That disc is obviously the Berg. The Berg is a great disc, it’s much like a flying parachute. Its the disc for the average man, it’s a disc for the people. The Berg is the shining star that brings competition to their knees. The word Berg alone is a life changer. My life has been changed since encountering a Berg. If your tired and need to take a nap the Berg can be a pillow. If you are at a tournament and eating lunch between rounds, the berg makes a great plate/bowl, show me any other disc that can do that. Accurate, dependable, trusty, great under pressure, and feels great in the hand. The disc basically throws itself. The Berg is everything you need in an upshot disc. I am going to name my dog Berg. I’m going to say the one word that needs to be said The Berg. Have you considered a berg? Can you do a video on the Berg. The berg brings the people together. Just because I believe the word Berg needs to be used a little more; BERG BERG BERG BERG!

I have a glitch, but I haven’t yet used it on the course. I got it because you recommended playing catch before a round. First I tried with a putter, but they hurt. Then I tried with an actual Whamo Frisbee, but they are too different from the disc golf discs both in hand feel and in how you need to throw it to get it to fly. I was hoping that the Glitch would be a happy middle ground, and it really is. Still a more harsh game of catch than with the frisbee, as it flies faster, but it is still catchable. Also, I can throw it like an upshot and it flies well, where the frisbee had to be all spin and no arm speed or it just turned and burned.

I've definitely found that you can pump on a glitch without it turning over if you get the heavier weights of it. The pdga approval of the disc doesn't allow for it to go over 165g if I remember correctly. I have a feeling that if it did go to 175 it would be very over stable. Great disc to run upshots with. I typically use it for throw in runs when I don't forehand my Berg to do so.

I fly the Glitch. It is great for low power 100’ shots that I just need to glide straight to the basket. It is a great woods disc, because I can put it straight to the basket without having to really drive when you don’t have room for a hyzer or an approach disc that fades like a zone.
