You could see it in the first 2 seasons, they didnt stick to a source material at all, and all changes they made in the show were for the worse. Key story details changed, small short story details that goes against the point changed, casting that doesn't make sense, just to be progressive, missing entire point that the books are about racism, and making every single human of difference race just makes no sense in the world. The key point was the fact northern realms and Novigrad was white, it is not racist to point that fact, thats just how it is. But now. you are telling me every human hates others just for pointy ears, but hey, skin color and ethnicity is irrelevant to these racists. It is like making Jackie RObinson movie where he joins big league, but half of the league is already full of Latinos and blacks. Like F-, you didnt get the point at all. People were watching this show with the rose color glasses because so many people like Cavill and other actors, but if you see flat on to the show, show is garbage. And what happened to comedy, Sapkowskis work is basically a comedy, its a window into issues like racism and war throught comedic specter, its a genius work of fiction, and a show is just overly serious generic fantasy.

As a fan of the Witcher books and games Herny's depatrure concerns me a lot. The second season of the series was already terrible, but now I'm completely uninterested in the third season and the fourth will be a disaster without him and not because of Liam (although I think he is way too young for the role) but the writers.

Henry might have escaped a very frustrating situation, so it's all right. Liam on the other hand is dipping his toes in a situation that might already be toxic so good luck to him and good luck taking over the role.

What little is salvageable in the Witcher TV Series is because Henry fought so hard against the writers, which is insane (and it still came out mixed). Liam will probably look and sound amazing, maybe even closer to the source material version, but without that advocacy, the show will devolve into CW-romance/drama level tripe.

I'm not suprised that Cavill is leaving. Netflix keeps shitting the bed with stupid decisions. I just can't be bothered with having a full time subscription. I may subscribe to Netflix for a month when season 3 comes out, but that's it.

Dragon Age Origins was amazing but idk about Dragon Age Inquisition. All the characters in Dragon Age Origins are so much better and choices had far more impact too. Here's hoping the next one will be more like DAO somehow.

I'm a 1 on Henry leaving the Witcher show. It shouldn't even be called The Witcher. It should be called The Yennefer Show, since she's the main focus and Geralt is barely in it.

Not surprised at all about Cavil leaving. Season two violates parts of the lore as bad as rings of power. I can kinda forgive them for season 1. A completely faithful adaptation of the first two books would have been Geralt and Dandelion having random unconnected adventures. Ciri would not exist until the last episode, Yen would feature in 2 or 3 at most, Triss and Fringilla would not exist yet, the war with Nilfgaard would take place entirely off screen with only a few mentions and there would be no Yen origin story ever. In our current day there is no way a season 1 with no female main characters would be allowed. And honestly they didnt do a horrible job on season 1. Its a real shame the timeline confusion put off so many people, i wish they had done that bit better. Season 2 however is a complete atrocity to the lore. The fact that a lot of reviewers liked season 2 more is infuriating. It completely destroys key character relationships, completely changes other main characters, and 95% of the events in the season where entirely pulled outa the show writers asses.

LIGHT BULB, let's recast the hugely popular beloved star of one of our biggest shows ever with a guy most known for being Miley Cyrus' ex & is the lesser talented lesser successful brother of bonafide A-List megastar Chris Hemsworth. Yeah my favorite Netflix show is done. Season #3 is essentially the official series finale. I was crushed when I heard that Henry was leaving The Witcher & than I went f'n nuclear when they announced that liam hemsworth of all people was replacing Henry. I had hoped that Henry would be able to balance Superman & The Witcher. I'm absolutely overjoyed that Henry is reinstated as Superman but him no longer doing The Witcher is totally heartbreaking. Henry Cavill IS Geralt of Rivia, he's the biggest reason why the show has been hugely successful, he is the reason why fans tune in to watch The Witcher, he's someone who's a genuine fan of the entire franchise and who has put his heart & soul into the show and they want to replace him with.....liam hemsworth??? LIAM HEMSWORTH??? The guy who starred in such 'bangers' like Independence Day: Resurgence & The Last Song??? WTF??? If they're going to recast Henry as Geralt than why not get somebody who's as equally talented & amazing as Henry like for example Mads Mikkelsen, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau or Viggo Mortensen to be the new Geralt instead of frickin' liam hemsworth. Whose bright idea was that anyways??? What made Netflix think that liam hemsworth of all people was the right guy to succeed Henry??? liam hemsworth is easily the worst possible choice to take over The Witcher. No way is Netflix's The Witcher going to survive without Henry Cavill, this is too devastating a loss that the show will never recover from. I wonder which recent casting/recasting is worst: Chris Pratt as the voice of Mario, Donal Finn replacing Barney Harris as Mat Cauthon in The Wheel of Time or liam hemsworth as the new Geralt of Rivia👎🤬👎 I'm really gonna miss Henry's endlessly entertaining bromance with Joey Batey's Jaskier, his father-daughter like bond with Freya Allen's Ciri and his bada@$ fight scenes. I am not sure why he is using dev "excite" as a metric for how good the game will be. Are any of the devs that made the first two Dragon Age games, that he liked, working on the newest game? Weren't the Anthem devs excited for that game? When is the last time a game was coming out and you read or watched a dev going, "Yeah. Game's coming out soon. I don't know why anyone would be interested. It's shit." It's like actor interviews for a film they are in.

The exact reason Callisto was ban, was because of showing body dismemberment which is a no in Japan. Which it not as bad as other thing japan has showed

It is very interesting that Japan has the worst, most sickening, gore mangas out there, but it's a no no in a video game.

Well, the game has not been banned. The ratings authority required the developer to tone down blood and gore, and the developer made the choice not to release the game in Japan. Which is understandable, but there was no ban. Also, I have lived in Japan for over a decade and have never had any problems to buy US versions of games to avoid censorship. No VPN required: you just create a US PSN account and that's it. Furthermore, if one wants a physical copy of a game, Amazon Japan sells US versions. No restrictions.

Dragon Age 2 is underrated imo. Yes it has a lot of copy-paste dungeons, but the writing and characters are very much typical Bioware. Maybe it's a hot-take, but IMO DA 2 is a better game than Inquisition. (None of them compare to Origins of course).

I'm disappoint in the news of Henry leaving the show. I wish showrunners and writers would stick to the source material and stop taking liberties on the IP. It sucks to see beloved games or books come to televisions and the big screen to see how much the writers butcher the source material because they want to make their own story. Honestly, I am not mad at all that Henry Cavill left. If the showrunners and writers are going to continue deviating from the source, it would hurt his reputation to stick with a show that very likely will be in the shitter writing wise, so good for him. I am sorry for Liam Hemsworth because God knows what kind off loose stool water show he is going to inherit. I mean, can you imagine? The Geralt we got is only because Cavill fought to have the character be nuanced. Without him, they are just going to write him to the ground. I am more excited about Henry going back to Superman, and even more excited to see him as the new McLeod in the new Highlander movie. And if rumors are true that he might be the next Bond...well, its erection time.

Honestly the loss of Henry as Geralt news stinks but season 3 of Witcher has not even come out yet. Season 2 was a pretty big dropoff from season 1, and if Season 3 is an even further dropoff then I don’t think I’ll even care about season 4. If season 3 is garbage then they can have Peter Dinklage play Geralt for all I care.
