Not really... You can activate the tier 3 dog from the doghouse before going in. I didn't plan to use Aether Blades, but the first reward gave me one and the Golden Armor is just an extra safety measurement. But we can agree on that, they obviously make a run much easier

Not so pro tip! If you’re in a squad or solo and just so happen to have the VR-11 you can shoot the ACV to fully heal it, while grinding Elder sigils today my squad and I discovered this, not sure if anyone else has found this yet, I haven’t looked into it anymore but definitely came in to save us on one of the more rough runs.

Thank you, and in fact, this was my first time getting all those schematics. I only farmed the items from the normal version (which I highly recommend doing) and if you check, I didn't have the Aether Blade throughout the entire escort contract (I get it as a reward from that portal).

The reload and small magazine is what kills the Tyr for me. Yes, they are decent but they're too punishing for mistakes. The Cor-45 (non-akimbo) is freakin phenomenal. 1-shot non-armored, 2 shot light armor, 3 shot heavy armor, a 60rd mag, and a much faster reload. Fast trigger, long barrel, compensator, and a laser to speed up ADS/more accurate hip fire or stronger ammo type, is a much safer combo. The Tyr's are great for special zombies but for the other 97% of the zombies, their TTK is just too slow.

I need to do this approach too, did a regular DA run and lost at escort because i did it last so i only had 3 LT53's and had no Energy Mine that game (which 100% would've caused me to win if i did have it). Suppose i did good enough for a first attempt since it was at the last point, just failed right before the launch sequence would start. Also didn't know you could place a sentry on the ACV. Also, i assume the Jug is your panic button of sorts right?

The jug suit was just left in my inventory... it took so long to arrive and you really slow with it so precision airstrike would make more sense, just don't directly call it on the ACV. Good luck

inside this Dark Aether: First contract gives the Dog Bones schematic. Second gives the Golden Armor schematic. Third gives the Aether Blade plans. So the order doesn't matter, but if you want everything you must do all of them

Gotcha, made my first run, solo, in the dark either last night. Got the blade from the outlast, couldn't find the right path to the extractors so I failed that one, couldn't find the escort, and after about five minutes of trying to find the exit and no more self revives, I ultimately died. Practice makes perfect I suppose, on to the next try.

Or the easiest route you could find someone who has a tombstone with the schematics in it, and that's honestly how I got it. This game stole items I paid for with real money in the battlepass, so yea.... 🖕 Activision.

So the schematics drop in a fixed order, the dog bone being the first after a completed contract, then the golden armor and always the third successful one drops the blade. So no matter what you have to do all 3 of them

You can exfil without doing any of them. So it's a great farming idea to do the rocket contract and the outlast to farm items before doing a full run for the Escort (because you have to do all three if you want the Aether Blade schematic)

Using normal sigil you cannot get the new classified schematics only the items. So the only way to craft the dog bone, golden armor and aether blade is by completing the elder sigil dark aether

Plus I don't think the WSP would be better... at least when I recorded this the Tyr was in it's prime (or I mean after the first slight nerf). Now the Lockwood 680 is the best weapon, but it's slower than the Tyr.

4 out of the 5 times I have gone into the dark aether I had packet loss, which made the game unplayable. My connection is fine when setting up, 30 ping and no packet loss. I the dark aether I get 20%+ packet loss for some reason.

I feel people underuse the wonderwaffe. I have both the ray gun and wonderwaffe schematics and taking on hordes with them both is a piece of cake. that might be how I try tackling this. but honestly the wonderwaffe on its own does some real good damage. and ik everyone even attempting this has the wonderwaffe schematic because you unlock it for free before you can even get this far. so Im like astounded that nobody uses it. I get people want faster movement so a single weapon and fists or a knife is the way to go, but honestly you get cornered, that wonderwaffe is usually getting you out pretty easily. I rock the wonderwaffe and an LMG (the Holger cause it atleast has decent mobility while I can still have 200 shots in it) and my lack of movement hasnt really been a problem all that much cause now Im just an absolute unit Lmao. tbf tho idk how it does to t4 zombies cause I havent tried it, so ill admit I may be wrong on how effective itll be for this mission specifically. but in the act 4 aether mission the wonderwaffe is crazy up until the worm boss, and Ive even teared it up in t3 with the gun and just pap 2 does the job for both scenarios. Im sure pap 3 in t4 aether would work just as smoothly (idk about the abominations tho)

To be honest I have the wunderwaffe and that would've been my go to weapon, but I considered not using it because of two things: the reload time is atrocious and has very few ammo for the escort. Plus the tyr is more reliable for taking down any kind of special enemy, aaand most importantly if you die with it well wait 2 days to use it again or spend 40 minutes hitting the box to get it, so it's not a consistent method (and I recorded this gameplay mainly for my solo guide, but decided to upload it).

@@MysteryHQ yeah thats pretty fair. the wait times crazy and I agree the ammo and reload time can be pretty bad, ESPECIALLY reloading without speed-cola. theres a few times I got caught with my pants down tryna reload. but 6 shots can effortlessly take out like 20-30 zombies if you land them all, which usually gives you time to reload as theyre all frozen. mimics, manglers, and disciples will even go down kinda easily. it just bites you in the butt when you miss a shot. high risk high reward type thing. but yeah, obviously your method is pretty effective so Im not putting it down in anyway. your ways definitely more efficient time wise, allowing more room for error. Ive just been seeing a lot of guides going around lately and not a single one used the wonderwaffe so I was kinda curious about that

If you want to use the tyrs mainly against zombies then use shatter blast. But if you want it against special enemies then use Napalm Burst (weakness of both the Abominations & Mangler). I kinda miscalculated with the Brain Rot, because it was only good against the abom & mimic (but there's very few mimic inside)

Sorry for not replying in Japanese :D but if you have the V-R11 (& tons of self-revives) you can do the escort without the golden armor plates, because the V-R11 restores the health of the ACV so you don't really have to worry about zombies (I just uploaded a Short about that)

Were you in the normal sigil version? Because the schematics are only given inside the elder sigil

Of course I assumed that, but you have 2 ways to enter: you can use normal sigils (they are triangles) to go inside the normal rift and do contracts and get ultra rarity elder sigils (they are circles) in the DA. Then go back to the portal and insert that elder sigil to the back to open a red, harder version of the Dark Aether and get schematics after every contract. But tbh I have a very detailed guide about this on my channel if you want to check it out :)

Your bullet management with those guns annoyed me. Fire one gun only and then when that’s empty fire the other while it’s reloading. That way you’ve always got a fully loaded gun to shoot with.

The dog in solo kinda mandatory inside the Dark Aether (not with the dog bone of course), I wasn't planning on using the blade, but hey free loot. And you got me with the armor plates. But the rockets and the outlast can be done with zero setup so the escort is the only problem :D
