Fun fact: so many Sonic fans found Eggman’s/Alfred’s annocunment so funny, that cosplayers have dressed up as Eggman, and have been re-enacting the whole rant. It’s quite a meme that really caught on! Even Mike Polluck knows about it. But, he can’t say anymore on it, or recite the speech because of legal reasons. Sega and Sonic are all about being kid friendly after all.

The weird animation probably owes itself to being motion-capture based. That is, live-action people acted it out in special suits for computers to track their motions into animation data.

not sure if you know or not so Ima state it in case ya don't, from what I know of, there's an activatable Big cutscene for every or almost every cutscene where if you press a specific button(don't remember what the button is) at either the start of the cutscene or while the cutscene is going, it'll cause Big to appear in one way or another. so Big's constant background appearances are because those were the version of the cutscenes they used for the fandub
