Remember that Clive's updraft 2,2 can blue spark too just like his kick. Delay the timing a bit, and you get more damage for the blue spark.

@@90sPotato it doesn't link ONLY if u're chaining too many inputs before the updraft 2,2. if you go directly db1+2,1 updraft jf2,2 it'll always link, it won't link for example if u do let's say df2, df1,4 db1+2,1 updraft jf2 THIS won't link otherwise it will

It's really a great design. And thought provoked. They made him strong so that people would buy DLC for sure. But not broken. We still have legacy characters that are stronger than Clive. He has apparent weakness' I dont care what guest character we get. As long as he has some weakness and we can punish him it is all good. We need guest characters to drive sales for tekken.

I mean not really, ff fans are not exactly happy with the spinoff game that they decided to sell as a mainline title, and we still should've gotten a character from a more fan-loved ff games instead. However, the way they executed Clive in T8 is great. They managed to make an otherwise unremarkable mc actually cool in a fighting game, certainly had more fun playing him in T8 than playing FF16 when i expected it to be a jrpg (you know a FINAL FANTASY game), but got a hack n slash spinoff instead.
