remember folks AMS does shoot down NARC so even a single unit can sometimes save you from that NARC. as someone who does play a good bit of LRM i can tell you that even with massed LRM like in both of these matches if even half the team had a single AMS each those missile wouldn't have been half as effective, let alone if there was a Corsair-7A on the field. if you can fit an AMS then do it. i know some mechs are really tight on tonnage but even 1/2t of ammo will cut down quite a few missiles while you work your way in close. another thing the Missile Boats on the enemy team did that is super important is they stuck with their team, they didn't go running off on their own. when running LRM always stay with you teammates so they can back you up if things get to close. also its good to see someone die to LRM and not start complaining about them needing nerfed. LRM are the most easily counter weapons in the game (when not massed buy half a team of lurm boats). a good way to understand and counter a weapon system is to play it for a bit. learn how they work and what tactics you need to use to make them effective and you can fight them better. (also well done again Sleepless and sorry for the long winded comment. also if you want any oddball build ideas you can always ask, been messing around with my Roughnecks lately)

Great Points! Bottom line that I have trying to preach is TACTICS trumps Tech. Don't like ECM? use tag, narc, your own eyes + coms. Don't like snipers? Pick an area opposite them to fight the enemy with obstructed shooting lanes. Don't like LRMs? Have Veet on your team 😁 And if you haven't noticed by now in many of my videos I am in a mech sweeping backfields to clear out snipers, lurmmers, etc. WHEN you get WRECKED as we did in the first match, don't immediately complain that something is OP.... go find the counter!

Everyone hates the Narc Raven until their team has LuRMs! The sweet call of victory on Polar when I drop in my SNV-A and someone says they have Narc's then 2 other players also confirm they are missile boats. It's nice to see a Veteran player doing these videos, there are a lotta good tips here for new players and some new finds for others as well.

Have good battlefield awareness is key. Keep one eye one the mini map at all times. And dont go what i call rambo on you team. Ie run off by yoursf thinking you can killum all alone.unlike most shooters mwo is highly team oriented . That looked like a large part of the loss in first match. Stick with your team and out focus the engagements

first match the enemy was better organized and executed perfectly. second match we had good comms going in and made pushing the Lurmmers a priority.

me who got caught by enemy team but my team rotate back and clean all the enemy with score 12-1 (hey it is lucky, or oof .-.)

Watching the first drop and all those LRMs, I really wish they hadn't taken out gaining score by using AMS. I have a Kitfox that is an AMS mech. It has very light weapons because of it. Without getting score from the AMS, I always lose pilot rating when playing it. Which means I don't play it. Lots of people have come to that conclusion and thus don't bring AMS.

Only if pilot rating is important. If wins are important, it is OK to be the unsung hero. And if fun is more important, than nothing else matters!

lol, yeah using an LRM boat was hell for a while because of that but i didn't really mind. when you see that quad AMS firing into the sky from a single mech (COrsair-7A) you know your going to have a frustrating match. its one of the reasons i often say on the forums "if you have an AMS slot and you aren't using it don't complain about getting hit by LRM"

@@veeot_dragon300 Using 1 AMS doesnt really do much. Maybe shoot a couple of missiles out of the barrage before it hits you? Better to use the tonnage for armorc weapons or cooling. Now, 3 or 4 AMS is a different story!

@@laggybum3218 it still helps, remember AMS shoots at ALL missile type weapons even NARC. and 1 AMS alone might not do whole lot but if other mechs on your team carry one as well it adds up.

Absolutely! However, if pilots expand their horizons and think tactics.... well the sky is the limit! And I truly believe it will make for over-all better and more rewarding gameplay.
