Joe is one of my favorite human beings. He has such a nurturing and supportive energy when working with artists and people just starting in the industry..
Or a mix with the Masters session, I can't believe what they did with the quality of the audio and micing with this interview

Nice thought on starting the mix with all the elements in. I wholeheartedly agree, though I am certainly guilty of hitting that solo button. Thanks Joe!

I always think that the questions are a little daft - they are always after some kind of answer - when the answer is always "it depends"! I still enjoyed listening but it's all down to experience, not a formula.

“Ree too tee too teee too teena neena neena neeeee” Hey! Down in Joe's Garage We didn't have no dope or LSD But a coupla quartsa beer Would fix it so the intonation Would not offend yer ear And the same old chords goin' over 'n' over Became a symphony We would play it again 'n' again 'n' again 'Cause it sounded good to me ONE MORE TIME!

What's he talking about? There was tons of reverb on 90s rock/r&b/pop records. Not drums (that's very 80s) but other stuff.

For every big studio that closed, there are 50 small studios that have popped up, put the tissues away.
