MX-5 Coilovers are straight forward and easy to fit. We've put together a comprehensive step by step DIY video guide about how to remove, prepare and fit HSD Coilovers to our own member of staff James' personal lightly rusty MX-5!
This is part one of two. In this part we look at removing the coilovers, and how the coil over design improves on anything else in the market.
HSD Coilovers are extremely high quality road and occasional use monotube coilovers able which are available for a wide variety of applications. HSD have been producing high quality monotube dampers for over 25 years and are the factory behind some of big names in after market suspension. HSD is their own brand and we work closely with them to feed back information to make them better than anything else on the market.

You don't have to use dangerous spring compressors! I recently put these on my '96 miata and after 2 hours of blood, sweat, tears and a lot of cursing I relized that you could remove the 2 bolts on the bottom ball joint ( one across the front and one inside the arm in front of the bottom damper mount) and separate the bottom A arm from the knuckle. The old damper came out without any help from a second person and was comparatively easy. 2nd damper took 25 minutes from jack up to jack drop.

I have the exact same model. Assume yours has the Nardi wheel and Momo shifter knob too. And yes the shocks are harsh.

Hi. I'm fairly new to MX5s having recently bought an '07 NC MkIII. it seems that the suspension was altered from Jap spec to suit EU safety heights and I'd like to lower it back. Can you advise me about this? Thanks.

On the Driftworks website it lists the spring rate as 9/6, but the Otomoto website has it as 10/8. Is this the standard spec for the Australian region or can this be swapped?
