Why does MX Linux always feel so hacked together to me. To me it feels like it's a distro from 2012.

Mx linux is light. It was hard to install Nvidia drivers, after solving the issue I installed the drivers, but I couldn't get into intel piwersaving mode. It is an cool os for non graphics laptops. I wasted 1 day playing with it. Linux mint is not this fast but it is easy, stable and everything works. MX linux is buggy.

This is a very nice and effective linux distro, but for me this is too much, as the distro has tools for everything and as a linux learner, I tend to use their tools too often (I'm lazy) so I went back to debian 12.

No calamares installer.... no GNOME... big problem..

I don't see any problem with these 2 things. It's not like it's hard to find a Gnome distro with a calamares installer.....

@@hopelessdecoy using this distro is like buying a car with a manual transmission. Sure, it's OK because there is no shortage of cars with an automatic or CVT transmission.
