Hey man do you still use the "air drifting" technique? I found that it's basically the same thing if you don't use the trick modifier

I suggest you use a bike instead of an atv because bikes are just faster. But it doens't really matter what bike you're taking as far as I know

I'm pretty bad at the game, but that doesn't mean the game can't also be bad. Which it is. Since this technique is only 2 steps, it's pretty ridiculous that I could be doing it wrong, but I admit anything is possible with this game. I had found success learning another 2-step technique of the video where you 1) pull the trick modifier in midair and 2) float back in the direction of the track (great tip, and definitely something THE GAME SHOULD TEACH YOU), so I thought I was ready for this other 2-step technique, but unfortunately it seems to be too advanced for me. I pull back on the right stick as soon as I land from the step-down to make extra sure I've crossed step 1 off my list. Then there's only one step left: Steer through the corner. But for some reason, getting through the whoops clean is a much surer thing if I don't touch the right stick at all through the turn. That seems to be par for Reflex: the novelty steering system that gave it its name hurts more people than it helps by not being intuitive. Reflex has one of the highest scores on Metacritic for a moto game. It's almost as highly rated as MvA: Unleashed, despite the fun-to-frustration ratio of Unleashed being far superior to Reflex's. My theory is the a.i. in Reflex is so laughable that you don't actually have to play well to beat the game. You can case things around the track and miss the big combos every lap, and still win by a margin. If you actually had to become competent at the game to progress in it, with its wonky-ass ground physics and completely embarrassing bar-to-bar goofs where you better not touch another bike or you're going down (except it's hard *not* to touch other bikes because the handling is so bad), it would've gotten panned, because hardly anyone would have the patience for it. How many critics who gave Reflex a good score just used that trick where you pause just before the gate drops for a guaranteed holeshot, lead line-to-line while riding like a total goon, then went, "I'm AMAZING at this game! 9/10!" Probably all of them.
