AWESOME.. I remember those days, I started my daughter on a JR 50. When she was 3. She's 31 now, she was pretty fast. She hasn't rode for a while now. But she has three boys we're gonna get started on. Good job dad. But what I did is I got another little bike to follow her around on. It wasn't till she moved up to a 60, is when I would take my bike out too. Keep him going mom and dad..

Give the little homie a few years and he'll be shredding the track. As far as I can tell he WANTS to ride and really enjoys it. He wants to ride and get better you're not forcing him you're coaching him there's a huge difference between what you are doing and what the over aggressive "coach" parents do (any sport). You guys are killing it parenting keep up the great work.

I have tears watching your son riding . He is an excellent rider . Good job to dad and mom to support your son , in my opinion the best past time or hobby in the world. Both my girls ride , they picked it up in less than 20 min , I'm blessed at 55 years old to still ride with them.

Ok so I heard mom say the neighbors hate us...I developed a small track through a Japanese garden and I have noticed more people driving by my house for no reason. I've talked to a few people who are brave enough to talk to me. My son just got introduced to Shotgun Creek in Marcola Oregon today and we went up top to the learning coral and beginner track [walked it first to kick rocks out] then had a blast. Thank you for posting this video !!

Okay 1st things first. AGAT great job. Moto sports are so much better with the gear. 2nd awesome riding at 3 wow. there was a little air there in the jump great job. Special recognition to the parents for helping and supporting. Overall a great example of family time.

What helmet does your son use? We bought one for our 4.5 year old and while it’s fits well and is a youth helmet (HJC), it seems too heavy for him

Most motocross helmets are on the heavier side. We have 2 helmets 1 is a Bell Moto helmet and the other which is his racing helmet is a 6D helmet. I believe the 6D helmet is lighter than the Bell but also much more expensive. Try to search for one used on Facebook marketplace or online. 6D run a little small.

Some dads or parents tend to be too pushy with their kids to get faster without enough proper seat time. Getting fast will eventually come to the kid but keeping it fun is most important! Try to always remind myself of this!

One of the best beginner bikes ever made - Yamaha PW50. You can adjust the throttle screw to make it as slow or as fast as you’d like :)
