I'm pretty certain that's a Crap Engineering subframe, but is she offering them with 1uz mounts now? I bought mine a few years ago with no mounts and made my own. She asked if she could borrow mine after I made the mounts to make a pattern from but I've also made my own engine side mounts so it wouldn't be very universal. Good luck, if you have any questions regarding any aspects of the swap feel free to ask, mine isn't quite finished as I'm restoring the car at the same time but all the swap aspects are figured out.

it sure is a crap engineering subframe buddy, as far as I know they are not offering uz mounts just the kl v6 stuff. Yerh I don't think offering would universal mounting would work as the engine going to sit differently depending on how and where you have cut and welded, which gear box your going to be using so on . Been asked about the mounts few times now so I'll try to remember to explain about then in a video soon and the restoring work we have done. I have a ton of questions regarding the swap atm so I sure i being asking soon thank you and if its a mx5 your restoring I have spent years working on then so if i can help please just give us shout

@@sicknessvssalvation4651 Ohh they're the V6 mounts on yours, like I said I'd bought mine with no mounts so I think I just assumed they were UZ mounts! Yeah it's so hard to package the engine in in terms of all the stuff you have to fit around it, no 2 swaps will ever be the same. I'm using a VVTi UZ so the dimension may be slightly different, and an IS200 gearbox with the Lexibreak adapter plate and such. Also using the MX5 Torsen with the 3.3 gear set that Bofi sells. I couldn't even fit a true twin exhaust since I couldn't fit a decent sized pipe down the drivers side of that gearbox, had to go between the oil pan and bell housing and join them right before the gearbox so it goes to show how hard it can be. What gearbox are you using?

@@lewisbiggs5977 sorry should of said the mounts are not v6 they are for for a 1uz (theirs a story behind it all i ll explain in a video) any ways i going to be using a bmw e9 530d box. also i would recommend reinforcing the diff hangers if your using the torsen. If your in the uk g19 can do it if your not set up to weld ally

@@sicknessvssalvation4651 Interesting, I look forward to that. Nah I do TIG, and you better believe the diff has plates on both sides of both arms lol. When I started I wanted to do it a bit cheaper, so I did the IS200 box so that I wouldn't have to change the diff since the ratios are almost the same as the MX5 boxes, and a diff swap gets real expensive real quick. I vaguely regret that since I'm actually making more money now than when I started, but it's all built around that gearbox and diff now and the mounts I've made for all that. I've seen tons of people saying the gearbox will be fine, they make an adapter kit for it after all, I've seen a few claiming it's made of chocolate but I'm not convinced. It's only gonna be a meaty daily and B road thrasher, not a competition drift car or anything so fingers crossed!
