Perfect. Very concise. I watched another video where the gentleman spent 25 minutes talking to give me the same information you did in less than 5.

After doing this by this video, my real world experience advice: Get the TOP connector off FIRST! The lower connection which is the "IN" connection will just run fuel out until the entire fuel tank drains! It will NOT stop. So get the top loose and then take the 10mm bolt out, then do the lower connector.

That is a really good point, thank you

I will also say, if your fuel filter is original it is 100% bad. Changing my fuel filter stopped my cold start rpm and stalling issues and the car runs better now at all rpms and loads! Can't believe the difference.

Changed mine last year on my 98 mk2 project and it looked like it had never been changed.... bolt in the clamped bit of metal sheered off instantly (like cheese) :/ so had to remove the bracket completely to drill out the remnants of the bolt on my bench

First of all thank you for great videos. I have a problem and i need your help. I changed fuel pump and fuel filter on my NB. When i put ignition i don't here the pump priming at all and i try to start the car and the engine crank not starting and then suddenly like explosion and I'm getting leak from fuel filter area. Do you think it can be clugged injectors? Or bad fuel pressure regulator?
@Project380 Жыл бұрын
Thank you I appreciate it. Take your fuel filter off and check it flows. If not it could be a big air lock

Can you put the caught fuel back in the car?

you can, as long as the container you are draining it into is very clean

I'm having a really difficult time trying to remove my fuel line off from the fuel filter. I broke off the both side of the tabs on the retainers and still no budge. 😢
@Project380 Жыл бұрын
have you de-pressurised the system?
@michaelsaywhat6980 Жыл бұрын
@Project380 Yes, I did. It was stuck because the corrosion was so bad that the seals and o ring from the fuel line connector bind itself to the fuel filter. Luckily, all I had to do was buy new fuel line connectors, take off the new seals, and pop it back onto the old fuel line.
