Other "stupid fools" are actually gaining about 10 thousand subs a months and their motors are either HALF DEAD ALREADY or just plain worthless or overstocked. They're not idiots. They're new yorkers who have been in the business for 25 years at least. They've owned 4 car yards and done EVERYTHING in the used car business, every aspect there is.

My Neon the drivers door got destroyed so I needed to find another one for a 95 neon coupe right away to get it back on the road. The closest you pull it yard listed a fresh kill that looked perfect in the picture. Door was smooth and straight. I finally make it there with my tools and find it. the back was caved in, front fender was bent to hell from someone swinging the door out fast into the fender. The door had all kinds of new minor dings but it was the only one in the yard for a 2 door so I grabbed it. Those cheap yards aren't careful moving cars and the folks pulling parts destroyed other parts trying to get what they needed quickly without the right tools. They probably lost 50 bucks for a good fender needlessly destroyed and I got a cheap usable door that had been perfect before it got set in the line. Pisses me off 😡 they don't care and parts for these are getting hard to find. I always try to save good parts in my way if possible but most just smash things they don't need. I apriciate that you actually care and try to save as much as possible. Us low buck owners are trying to keep our older cars going and it's a win for both of us. You make money, we save money to fix our stuff.

I feel ya. Saw the exact same car I have in a junkyard, I thought sweet! Some cheap parts, bumpers looked good too, and they're impossible to find. Then I come back next week, I ask where the car is, they told me they crushed it not half an hour ago. Whay a waste, less than 15 of those still exist here.

I think a lot of what neutral drop does has to do with the fact that space is worth a lot in a big city and if it’s not something they know will move the value to store will be more then the sum total.

I worked in a junkyard for 10 years. We had a long road we were located on so vehicles that were driveable we tested accordingly. Its a business to make money. We never did neutral drops or have our own demo derby. People think because it's a junkyard you just cut, hack, and smash everything which is not the case. Cars were processed newer stuff stays older stuff take what u need & the rest go in the crusher.

Drive-by-wire thingy... probably damage to the throttle body or throttle motor. If you unplug the throttle motor, it will idle but you'll have no gas.
