not gonna lie this is making me tear up. maia, i found your music when i was 15- what i used to consider one of the worst years of my life so far. you made me feel less alone as i navigated all of my difficult emotions that i'd never experienced before. i turned 21 last week and god do i feel old. i find myself reminiscing back on those days, not with sadness, but this weird melancholic nostalgia. i think that's what caused me to connect with liminal spaces over quarantine; i love the feeling, the transitional periods, they bring me comfort. when i saw that your next album was inspired by them, i was excited, and i'm counting down the days until it's released. all of these years later, you remain one of my favorite artists. thank you :,) i really hope i get to see you live one day

This captures how I'm feeling right now about my hometown that raised me and my college town where I grew so much. I moved back to my hometown after college for personal reasons, and a part of me longs for my college town and what could have happened had I chosen to stay longer. There's something special about moving to a new city to begin a new chapter of your life and evolving to a new you after your time living there. I experienced so much growing pains at my college town, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
