Following up on what you said about recording: the other guitarist in our band had one of the original Rockmans. He usually played through a small tube amp and I loved his tone. He brought the Rockman in to a recording session, and I hated that thing passionately. But he insisted on using it to record his part, so I gritted my teeth and got on with it. When I got to the mixdown, I was amazed and humbled-- that tone slotted right in perfectly. Scholz was a genius.

There have been a lot good demos of this pedal, and some very good players trying it out, but you are perfect dude to try out this pedal!! EDIT: Going further into the video, the only thing I wish that the pedal had was a second footswitch for the mode. But only for live playing. Being able to use the clean sounds and go to the lead sound, without having to lean down to press the little switch would be nice. But for a home player like myself, not necessary either.

This. This made me happy. The "Chorus" button should be re-named "Tom" as you can hear classic Boston the second it's activated. Also, I like the ode to "Hysteria" as it was said (by I think Joe Elliot) that he used the old Rockman through a desktop 4 track when writing some of the demos for that record. I think I'm going to buy my first stomp box since I bought my (Brand New) DOD Thrash Master pedal in the late 80s.😁 Thanks for making this great review Leon!🤘

A few months ago I bought the GOAT Blue Series Sustainor and Stereo Chorus. I have them on my pedalboard with the Helix. I am going to replace them with this pedal because of the control function. With the GOAT Pedals, I have to physically step on both the Helix and the Sustainor to switch sounds. The Helix can send control impulses to this pedal to change modes. That is the game changer for me! Btw, I'm from Boston and I met TS a few times and was privileged to talk with him about guitar sounds. It's great to see that his tonal legacy still stands!
