Perfect. All the characteristic sounds of Paris, diesel engines, scooter engines, horns... Love it, J'adore.

Excellent video. I like that you included subtitles in English, rather than a verbal narration. Which allows viewers to simply enjoy the ambiance, yet understand what they're looking at. And also is easier for non native English speakers to follow! Very well done.

Thank you. I use subtitles so that viewers can take or leave narration at their option. I don't want to impose my voice or my point of view upon them.

KZbin is filled with people who make videos that show their talking heads for 95% of the video, with only 5% of anything else. I wanted to be different, and just show the city, without any trace of my face or voice. I'm not photogenic, anyway. People watch my videos to see Paris (I think), and not to see me.

Here in southern Arizona, our community has a thing about public funded public places committing 1% of a projects total cost being committed to art. To MY mind your opera house does NOT at all look overdone. And your entire city having various art all about ALSO looks SO APPROPRIATE!! C'est tres bien. Merci.

I don't know if it's a touristy area but everybody seemed to be dressed casually. I didn't necessary expect to see something like on a runway. I have friends in ny who completely redid their wardrobes when they moved there. Of course being from philadelphia I have no shame where my appearance is concerned. Interesting to see the great paris opera surrounded by busy streets and commercial establishments. thanks for the wonderful postcard

Maybe it's time for Paris to do what the Dutch have done: encourage the use of the bicycle and create plenty of real, big bike lanes. Also: enforce one-way traffic for motor vehicles on certain boulevards so there is more space to drive.

This video is a good illustration of how people actually dress in Paris. The reality is … they dress much like people in any other big city. I'm not sure why people think that everyone in Paris dresses in Dior or Prada. Most of the people you see in this video are Parisians, and while they don't dress like bums, they don't dress up, either.

If Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg or Cologne had the same number of inhabitants that Paris, I'm very sure those cities woudn't have this problem Paris is having. Cologne is in the middle of a large conurbation, just like Essen and Frankfurt where people flock into the downtowns of these cities and there is never a chaos like the shown here. The German cities are better designed for both habitability and mobility. Narrow streets should have not so much cars or none cars at all but tramways and bicycles and if you cannot solve this problem in the short term, then you have to put elevated pedestrian crossings like those crossing railways but in the heart of the cities. A good design can make them an attractive part of the city. The masonic design from Hausmann in the main avenues serves mostly a bunch of cars and passers-by but not a single monorail and even less for bikeways for commuters. In Paris bike riders meddle among car traffic just like in New York. It seems The Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and Germany, will have to advise the French governments about mobility and livability. Do it for the people of Paris because what I see here is very painful bcause with this disorder and noise makes it look like Ecuador instead of France, these people deserve to walk freely without worrying about the threat of a car killing them because some streets have not enough street lights or those have a very short time to let passers-by to cross the streets. Don't let the savagery of lower latitudes take the country for bad. Keep all of what made France a top country in the world!

Blanche. Paris is NOT first city in the world. Los Angeles is first city in the word. Disneyland and its 50 million visitors per year has no competition. And their traffic is slow, but it is ORGANIZED. Its not a jungle like Europe is.
@djmikeeventos8 жыл бұрын
Blanche. The numbers are staggerring. Los Angeles receives one hundred times more tourism than paris. LA has over 2000 touristic spots like Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Malibu, Hollywood, and 24 profesional sports teams. Like The Lakers, Dodgers, Clippers, Angels, Rams, Ducks, Trojans, Bruins and its home to Universal Studios. LA has the best climate in the world and paris has a metal tower. You cannot even remotely compare. Thank God we dont park motorcicles on the sidewalk.

There is no city in the USA that equals Paris, France. I heard it was old&dirty before I went there. What I found a magnificent city with up-to-date transportation systems. Artwork in the metro stations even. They call their past their "Patrimony" literally gifts from their forefathers and lovingly preserve that past while updating judiciously. For instance when Notre Dame turned 850yrs old it got new bells, restored pipe organ. Can't say enough good about it. Mxsmanic videos show this city at it's best. I love them. Watch Eiffel Tower fireworks also.
