Watching this Mo XuanYo seemed like some really pure and innocent kid, who got pulled into this wretched side far too early, like most of the novels characters tbh. But its hurts so bad that he is actually innocent and yet cannot even be reborn because he just couldn't continue anymore. Most people used him for their own selfishness and all he receives is more and more pain at the end. Its tears my heart into parts :(

No. Mo Xuanyu can be reborn because in the novel said that his soul back to earth not scatterd. The soul that will scatterd is wei wuxian if he can't complete the wish from mo xuanyu who offerd the body. So if you wan to know more you can go and reread the novel if i'm not wrong it on the first chapter.

yeah same. I mean, the guy even married his own sister and they were together for YEARS, had a kid too and he killed him in the end, annihilating "the suspects" as well. Characters like Mo Xuanyu and Shen Jiu (the original Shen Qingqiu from SVSSS) make me crave for their backstories. Their stories were just left hanging, never getting any closure. Especially, in Shen Jiu's case. There was so much more to that character. He was probably one the most complex villain characters of MXTX. ...and we don't even fucking know what the hell happened to his soul? Where did he go? He was just gone and no one even noticed (not even his Qi-ge)...no one really cared. Plus, his backstory from the extras Shen Jiu and Yue Qi left me feeling so hollow and hopeless. Oh god! MXTX can be such a good sadist!!

I know! Both characters were so well written for how terrible their lives were and how it ended with no closure. I agree with you, Shen Jiu was one of the most complex villain characters. His extreme hatret for the entire world and no way to vent it left me feeling so hollow and I loved it. It's the kind of character I like reading in Xianxia danmei stories.

I don't think JGS cared for any of his children that much because he had so many. He did however show favouritism to Second Lady Mo, and in turn, his child with her, MXY. So he brought MXY back to LanlingJin to learn cultivation, and to remind JGY that he was not the sole heir, that he was replaceable. To encourage rivalry and competition between the two. However this backfired, JGY and MXY became friends. JGY trusted MXY enough to show him his secret treasure stash, which included WWX's essays and manuscripts. But then MXY got a crush on JGY, was said to have molested JGY, and was kicked out from LanlingJin. I think that JGS would've been disappointed in MXY. JGS didn't get what he wanted from him. He wanted MXY's presence to cause JGY to panic, study more and become a better sect leader. That didn't really happen. As for JGS's lecherous intentions towards MXY, those are purely fanon.

I have watched this video- 10+ times, and love it, and just now- please correct me if I'm wrong, but at the very end is that Mo Xuanyu dress like a girl, with the man who is his brother? and the man is taken advantage of Mo Xuanyu.
