My #1 tip for back-to-school this year? 👇
Get your principal involved.
Elementary principals are often new to literacy education because they come from teaching at higher grade levels.
They were excluded from state literacy training, and they really don’t know what you need in your classrooms.
👉 One thing they do know? They know they’re accountable for the school’s reading outcomes.
When you’re trying to get your principal on board with the science of reading, remember they are being pulled in a lot of directions.
Approach them creatively. Offer them a solution to a part of their job that may be new to them. Partner with them to support students and their families.
Our Reading Science Academy is sharing administration wins every week inside our private community.
