For those of us just play at home, Native is the way to go and a better value over the hardware. Especially if you already have a good interface with relatively low impedance, it's a no-brainer. I had a Stomp XL previously, but sold it and kept my discounted Native license. Every time a new guitar plugin is released, Native is a GAS killer because it's already got the it's got all the tones inside once you know how to use it. I added an IK Z-Tone DI Box to my interface for the variable signal impedance feature that the Helix hardware can do. (Albeit it's manual with a knob, not automatic.) Someday I want to get one of the new Morningstar MC6 Pro midi controllers with the color screens to mimic the Scribble Strip feature on the hardware units. That will complete my "Mega Helix" setup for home playing at far less expense than a Helix Floor or Rack. 👍

I just purchased Native after getting a Helix LT last year. This is a great feature for creating presets for HX Stomp, which only has one DSP block. It will make things super-easy to translate presets between Helix/HX modelers. Thanks for the vid!

Helix Native is waaay better than any Helix hardware unless you are playing live. I have a good laptop and my laptop has a touchscreen that is 15.6 inches so the Helix Native looks so much better than the small screen on the Helix Floor and the best part is the DSP power with like this video, setting the compatibility to 'none' gives you double to quadruple the options of amp/effects blocks than any Helix hardware. And also the Helix Native plugin lets you choose the option to show the little cute images of the amps/effect pedals, instead of just the list of their names. So you can actually see, for example, the Klon Centaur pedal on your computer screen in your DAW.

And even better for us Native desktop users with big monitors!

I’m a stomp user and just loaded Native. Thanks for the lesson.

Jason I would love to hear you in the context of a band. I’m sure you have videos somewhere I just haven’t seen them yet!

One thing to keep in mind when switching to the unlimited mode is that your preset banks will change. I had to sort of "start over" and even add some of the factory ones designed to work with the Helix hardware back into the lists. Otherwise, this is a huge sleeper feature of the Helix ecosystem .

Super useful Jase! Really tempting to grab native and just use it in the DAW.

I don't have Helix Native, but can see how that is a very powerful tool/software. Is there any documentation that correlates System Requirements to DSP Intensive Blocks like Polypitch so users have some idea what to expect? Your demonstration was pretty impressive. What are your computer specs related to getting the good performance out of Helix Native you showed?

Thanks Jase \m/ Off / Unlimited Mode is a godsend for Sound design and Film Scoring / Composition as well as literally having a 32 CORE HELIX ( I see you Quad Cortex and raise you 28 Cores he he )

i got mine working via the helix as an interface ( 1/4 and XLR stopped working recently) . Helix running via a blank preset multi output as normal so a clean signal going into helix native - the output settings on the tone host as just my normal speaker output. seems to work ok with no noticeable lag - i have a high powered pc - not sure if that helps

Do you have a video on installing a wha pedal in Helix Native with Cubase? I can't seem to make it happen.

Does it work with the m1?

It's a pity that you can't do this with HXEdit if you own a Helix Floor/Rack ... after all, you have the processing power, you just need the limitations selectively so you can make compatible presents on the Floor/Rack for exporting directly to the other Line6 HX products.

Hi! I wonder why Helix Native sounds so thin and fizzy. I use S-Gear, Amplitube and Guitar Rig. They all sound great and much fuller than Native. Why is this? Best, Hans

Why is the looper greyed out in all modes?
@tappistrt6 ай бұрын
A bit late on the reply here, but Helix Native disables the looper because that's covered (and then some) by your DAW.
