My 1 Month Experience with WLMouse Beast X (Unboxing & Review)

Months after the release of the highly-anticipated and suspected scam of a mouse, WLMouse's Beast X and Beast X Mini have hit the market and the ripple effect across the mouse community has been more than evident. After I found myself in the market for a new, and hopefully lasting, gaming mouse, I saw the Beast X as the top choice for many lists, and decided to pony up for not one, but two of them! I got and reviewed both the regular-sized Beast X and the Beast X Mini.

Thank you! Isn't the design just awesome?! When I was deciding which color to pick, the Black and Gold design got my attention. I just looked up the Blue design you mentioned and it looks great! I love how they changed the hexagonal design on the right mouse to those flame-shaped designs.

Very well done review! I have a G502 and a ULX. I mainly use the G502 because my acid hands are going to wear the ULX coating down (do not buy). I'm looking forward to my Beast X Max in Black, with TTC Nihil Transparent Black Dots in the next month or so! I've heard very good things regarding it and its predecessors :)

Thank you! You're not going to regret the buy! I love the Beast X original and mini. Sure, it doesn't have the extra buttons that Logitech have, like a DPI switcher, but the weight and overall feel makes up for that.

@@jmantv7 The Beast X is, in my opinion, a fantastic first-time magnesium mouse. If you've never felt how light they are, you're going to be shocked when you pick it up! Congrats on your new mouse!

I want to buy the mini. However drivers or software are a big concern. My lamzu atlantis mini has no drivers. Just side buttons are a little to invasive. Hopefully the drivers are not required?

I'm not the most privy when it comes to this, but I think there shouldn't be any issues with any Beast X model. I know that you can use the mouse no problem without the software, but if you're looking for customization, then it will be necessary.

@@qliqoei from the many mice I have tested. It really is hit and miss with the software. The lamzu I was able to do a firmware update. With no need for the actual software for the customisation. For me personally, All I need is for the mouse to remain unchanged. No profile. Just stay on 800 DPI with maybe an led indicator to show... Lamzu did very well with this.

i ordered a beast x mini a couple days ago and i am eagerly waiting for it to arrive. it's replacing my viper v2 pro but theres nothing wrong with it, i just feel like the x mini is going to be better on my hands and i love the flashy design on the beast x mice

Congrats on your new purchase! Hey, nothing has to be wrong with a mouse to upgrade. The mini is a fantastic mouse, especially since its form factor not only is easy to hold with whatever grip you are most comfortable with, but you can also travel with it, since it comes with a pouch!

If this had solid sides it would be my all time Favorite. But like this I can´t really use it even tho it is an amazing mouse.

That's what I heard many people say about the sides. Do you think that side grip tape might make it better or would you prefer a full solid piece that actually fills the gaps in?

@@qliqoei Short answer: Yes. But It alters the shape. Whole Book: I can tell you that griptape makes a hell of a difference. If it is thick enough. I make my own with lizardskin 0.5mm. But because the slits are so large the indents are still noticable. Which is not so much the case on my Final mouse with smaller openings. But it never feels as good as solid sides. You can get used to the openings and a friend of mine likes them because they provide him with extra grip. But for me it isnt the case. He also has smaller hands and fingers so maybe he got lucky with the dimensions or shape or both. You also need to take into account that it alters the shape, which can be good or bad. Depending on your Hand size and grip preferences. I played for a month without griptape on it and by that experience I can tell you it is okay but every time i go back to my solid side mouse it is such a releave. it feels like with non solid sides or better openings where my fingers are I am under constant stress even when I get used to it. it´s like shoues that fit but arent tailored to your size.
