It's not obvious for them because they already agreed to not troll anymore. They agreed to play the game somewhat seriously and no "purposely throwing" like teaming up with an impostor, not reporting dead bodies, and purposely acting suspicious even though you're a crewmate. So it never crossed their mind that Sydney probably was trolling that whole meeting. They used to troll a lot like that when they first used proximity voice, people teaming up with impostors, not reporting bodies, etc. But because it has become stale, they agree to play it normally. That's why it's so confusing for them because sydney acted super suspicious by hard accusing toast, a crewmate, and saying toast did a kill in admin, even though he had an airtight alibi.

So she thought she could did the exact same thing first to toast by accusing him when she found a dead body so toast would be the one who got voted out, not her. But they thought she was serious, so when it didn't match up to the actual facts, they said she was lying to frame toast aka what an impostor do. They didn't consider the fact that Sydney was trolling as crewmate because all stream, none of them trolled that hard anymore. When they first played proximity chat among us, a lot of them were trolling super hard by not reporting bodies, purposely being a third impostor, ganging up with impostors as crewmate etc. They didn't play the game seriously and just threw the game for fub.
