MY 10 YEARS ON YOUTUBE HIGHLIGHTS

My 10 years on KZbin highlights. I uploaded my first KZbin video on the 17th February 2011.
Not thinking it would be anything. Literally a tutorial on how I used to wear my scarf on a regular basis, because so many people would stop and ask me how I styled it when I was out.
It’s not something you can explain so I made 2 videos and posted them, every-time someone asked me about my scarf I’d give them my KZbin link. After my 2nd video I didn’t go onto KZbin for around 6 months, I was in my first year of college so was focusing on that.
Then when I went back to it. I saw my video got 6,000 likes and the other got 9,000. I was in shock!
I went to my messages on my channel (this was a thing back then they also had private messaging back then too) and I was blown away at the amount of love I got and also how many people were interested in my tutorials.
I must say I was really surprised. Back then I was a very shy person as you can tell from those 2 videos. I had zero confidence. And really didn’t think much of any of this. But then reading all the messages and comments pushed to do more. And start really creating content.
It’s so crazy that it has turned into my full time job. And the reason I even started was because no one my age was doing hijab tutorials or modest looks. There were only 3 other people at the time Amenakin and 2 other girls who are no longer on KZbin. And I thought why isn’t anyone else doing it. There needs to be more hijabis out there. And so I thought I can do it. And here we are.
I hope you enjoy this video. Looking back at my old videos makes me cringe so much but it also shows how far I’ve come. How much I’ve built myself up. And how much it has impacted me positively. I’ve loved the journey so far and I hope it only gets better.

Remember watching your very first hijab tutorial and watching the rest of them for inspiration. I've been watching all your videos from the start and I remember the hijab tutorial that you've put up on this video (second one) and I loved it. I even ended up doing the hijab style the next day for college. But honestly speaking, seeing you grow, it makes me happy and it is nice to see how you make amazing OOTD and promoting modest fashion M'A. Keep up the good work xx
