Great advice 👍 I agree, making videos you enjoy making is important! It can sometimes be so much fun that it’s hard to want to do other more boring daily tasks haha. The algorithm sure is unpredictable, it always pushes the videos I like the least and put lower effort into making and my best work I spend days on gets a few views 😂

I have a person for you to watch who reminds me of your style in a way, he's from Scotland or Ireland, I think and he does videos boarding Ferries and trains and does talks while walking. I think that was some good advice that you gave, especially about the reality of how the amount of views that you’re going to get and how it doesn’t correspond to the amount of effort you put in sometimes. I’ve actually been debating for a couple years about starting a channel myself. And it was for kind of the same reason you have. I think it would be really cool for my future family to see it. Not just my family now. I think it would have been really cool if my grandparents or my great grandparents would’ve had a KZbin channel. And I could’ve seen their travels . and it just seems really cool to me that maybe in 100 years some distant relatives might see my travels

Just a suggestion, kindly mention in all your videos to “Please like, comment and share this videos as it helps your channel grow” something along that line.. The algorithm on KZbin is somehow tracking that stuff and you’ll start getting paid. Agreed! It takes no energy to be human (nice). Haven’t watch all 100 but love your videos especially when things don’t go right. I’ve just done my first solo, encouraged by you. I got lost twice on my last cruise, st Perrier and Nuuk Greenland. Congratulations Ben. How many hours a week are you spending on YT? Do you script anything? How much time editing versus filming?

Cheers, Steve 👍 sometimes I film for 10 hours to get a 30 minute video and sometimes I film for 20 minutes, like this video. Editing a 30 minute video usually takes up to 2 hours! I don’t write a script out but I have notes or key points I’ll talk about and then improvise 😊
