I love seeing where you started, and how you have grown over the years and the progression of refining your craft. Excellent.

I think you are a pioneer of something great. I want to spread the word and help people get on the water safely and in the same style. Great stuff bro, keep em coming.

Good video man. Kudos on having the idea from the ground up and to execute it. Everything starts somewhere.

I have a 12/36 yakiller, it's in it's 4th year and it's got a wood frame, and it still rocks. Can get skinny and comfortable at the same time. It's bad ass. Things always get better over time. Could mine sink. Yes. But so can all boat's.

Man don’t listen to the haters. Most people sit on their butts and never try something that’s challenging. You made some mistakes, but you did it! Nice work!!

Marine grade plywood coated in resin lasts a long time alot longer than using OSB and worthit in the end.

Can these builds be left out in the elements or should they be covered/protected from rain/snow

Nice video, and great project. Do you do any coastal inshore fishing with it ? I've been told that a 12 footer, is too small for coastal inshore fishing.
@TinyBoatNation2 жыл бұрын
Most people use Giant yaks for inshore or offshore.
@rdelafuente86472 жыл бұрын
@@TinyBoatNation Yeah, that's what I've heard. Although, I think I'd feel safer in a jon boat, as opposed to a kayak. Thanks for the feedback.

Good stuff, working on my first tiny boat build didn't even know people did this. 😂😂

I think it’s time to expand the TBN to the salt water guys and do a salt specific build. Lots of folks seem to think that putting an aluminum boat in salt water is instant death when they actually fair pretty well when set up and taken care of properly.

Hi, I think this is awesome, the progress that you have made so far is going to help me with my build. In your opinion what will the ideal size be for a build?
@davehaag81753 жыл бұрын
I think the trend of your style jon boat doesnt take off is because they have to be built vs a kayak you walk into a store and go fishing...i perfer a jon all day over my kayak but im still building my jon.. my yak was ready to roll after purchase and any fishing excessories only added to it

You don't understand kayak fishing. Apples and oranges. You don't need to compete with kayaks.
