Had my first experience of a prolapsed disc 2 years ago,it was the most excruciating pain ive ever experienced,i wouldnt wish upon my worst enemy. I know one day i will need a fusion,my back has not been right since. Good to see you on the mend Yianni,too notch surgeon too!

Yianni I feel for you I am 37 had 5 major surgeries on my lower back just to be told that I have Failed back surgery syndrome and there is nothing that can be done for me. Having constant pain ruins your life and the sad part is I have 3 children and I cant even play with them like most other people can. real downwards spiral. Luckily I have a fantastic person in my life I get to call my wife and she helps me through each day. Keep strong your family cares alot for you.

Trust me I know the pain it’s very brutal I had 2 disk broken and one vertebrae on verge to give out but after 5 surgery and 7 hours later they had fixed my back and when I first started walking my lower back felt so good after years of pain, but I kept my self strong and pulled through this! And you did to buddy! Keep it glad you’re feeling much better! 💪

Just finished watching the whole thing. Very well produced. A lot of the symptoms you described sound very similar to what my mum has been suffering with for over 20 years after birth complications. That sharp pain down the left side and something pressing on a nerve is exactly what she describes too but any surgery could cause further damage or even prove fatal. It looks like there's other stories in the comments too but glad you're on the mend

Well done Yanni, spinal surgery done and dusted which isn't to be laughed at all. I remember the pain of my spinal neck surgery was unreal. It felt like my head was decapitated from the rest of my body. We are lucky as we do have some of the best spinal surgeons in the world. ☮💜💪🏾

The best, and arguably only, method for looking after a bad back is Pilates. It is non-aggressive and builds up the core muscles. My wife does not have disc in her spine and through Pilates has immense lower back muscles like you wouldn’t believe, to the extent she set up her own Pilates studio. She never had anything inserted in her spine. She went on and had our child and has a stronger back than I do. I then had a hernia in my spine, but with a 12% chance it managed to get reabsorbed. The alternative would have been invasive surgery. My saviour was doing Pilates, which was a slow process as I had never done it before and began while having the hernia and sciatic nerve pain. Seriously, everyone should know about Pilates, especially spinal surgeons for follow up care for their patients.

I had 6 screws, 2 rods and 2 cages in my back 13 years ago. It was 1 full year after a work accident. I had to learn to walk again and I'm still a complete mess, I've had 2 more surgeries, resulting in a Nevro spinal cord stimulater implant 5 years ago. Permanently disabled and all the same meds this whole entire time. So morphine tramadol ect. Honestly Unbelievable to see you up and able to walk hours after. I was so much worse after my original surgery.. All i can say is I hope to god this fixes you and you don't ever need anymore! I don't ever want to see or hear anyone going through this same thing.. I've been like this since I was 25, married with 2 kids so it ruined everything for all of us. I Just randomly stumbled across this video and had to watch it just from the thumbnail. My thought are with you sir & good luck with everything !!!

I had a spin infusion op lidocaine injections and all sorts. Will be in pain and cant walk well for the rest of my days and permanently on Pain meds forever i know what your going through i was bed bound at the start for a year. Take it easy Yianni i feel for you it's a long road.

Had major back surgery as-well mate had 2 disks explode had them replaced with titanium one's ive also got the rods and cage and screws all good now just got to take it easy and remember if its not worth being in a wheelchair for don't do it my surgeons advice. Take care

Ive had 3 major back surgeries. When u wake up youll know right away if it works . If the same pain is there they botched the surgery . It will come back if you dont exercise keep weight off and take very good care 9f yourself .

Yianni I have gotta give you with the surgery I understand what you have gone few. I have also have spinal surgery 4 times because i was born with curved spine and only found out at 12years old i had spondylolisthesis grade 4 and bin in hospital for 2 months and now my life will never be the same because 3 of the surgery failed, and my body and mental health going few these problems. I hope you try take it easy and build your strength up
