My ragdoll passed a few weeks ago after 17 years with me (that's 85 years in cat years). She came to me at 8 weeks old. Never had a medical problem or a visit to a vet until the last few weeks of her life. I had to make the most difficult decision of my life to gently escort her to the rainbow bridge because I didn't want her to suffer. I'm still grieving but it's slowly getting better. I miss her so much. 💔 She left a little paw print on my heart that will be with me for the rest of my life. Hopefully she will be there to greet me on the other side of the rainbow bridge when my time comes. 💞

I remember Charlie on the pillar years ago. He looks so regal!
@Floppycats4 ай бұрын
Yes, he actually did jump on a pillar by himself a few days ago - I was so excited, as I was concerned he had lost the energy to do that.

That's Charlie's perch. Seal mitted Ragdolls remind me of the Himalayan breed. By the way, I so love your backyard. Backyards put one close to nature, are a haven or retreat from the outside world, a place to keep pets safe and enclosed, and a place to sit and contemplate.

That's funny - as I don't think Himis come in mitts, right? I love my backyard too - it's what sold me on this house almost 20 years ago. I opened the door into the backyard and it took my breath away. It's my favorite part of my house - well, maybe other than my renovated bathroom.

Oh gosh, Charlie is lovely. We are all going through the same here. My eldest (of three) Wanda was diagnosed with lymphoma on Saturday. She’s been in the hospital for two nights and Ragnar (my Ragdoll boy) and Angel are very confused. They knew she was sick and have been doting on her. I want them to have a chance to say goodbye. When Trigg died I’m sure I posted this… Their little lives are too short and it just isn’t fair.

Ugh, I am sorry to hear about your Wanda. From what I learned, it is treatable with a steroid or chemo pill. Trigg's was found far too late. But I was told it can be and is a manageable chronic condition.

Charlie is so handsome. We are heartbroken with you, over your passing of Chiggy. “He was a good man”. As my son liked to say about Charlie and Chiggy. Hugs to you, Jenny. 🥹

Charlie reminds me so much of my Gus, who is 3ys old. He's a blue mitted ragdoll, prob a mix bc I adopted him from Operation Kindness in Dallas. He's all grey except for his mitts and a white blaze and chinstrap like Charlie. You take such good care of him!

Charlie's fur is looks incredible. I think he's a big bunny in a Ragdoll body. : ) (Not ) Love to watch him sniff in the wind. So peaceful. Thanks for posting.

He does have a great coat - but his body condition is pretty poor. He hasn't gained muscle in a few years and is super skinny. So his coat is a bit deceiving.

I didn’t know that..😢 As I’ve said. To me Charlie has always gone above and beyond to maintain the wonderful Ragdoll dignity by just being who he is. He’s the perfect Ambassador for Raggies.

A beautiful video with Charlie and you Jenny! I'm sorry to hear about Triggs passing. You take such good medical care of your cats. Alternative medicine that I've learned so much about from you. I enjoy the product reviews also. Hi from my siamese, Nate and gray tabby, Jamie 😊!

I actually didn’t know that Trigg has passed, and now I’m distraught. 😭 I’ve been a watcher since was a young teen, and I’m so sorry that you lost Triggy. He was such a sweet and floofy boy and will be missed.

I'm sorry- I posted about it everywhere and sent it to all the email subscribers. I suppose there will be others like you that haven't yet found out. It was awful and unexpected. I am still distraught myself.

When did Charlie and Trigg start having these medical issues? Imm worried about my own ragdoll 😢!
@Floppycats4 ай бұрын
Don't compare yours to mine - I gave them too many vaccines, too many meds and too many flea meds. I have learned all of this in hindsight. Some cats can have all of that and do well, but mine did not. They stopped getting vaccines at 11 years old because we switched a veterinarian that believed it was no longer necessary. Thank goodness, or I probably would have lost Trigg earlier. If you can titer test, do that. Cats are like us - the better food we eat, the more exercise we get, the happier and less stress we endure, the better our chances of longevity. To answer your question - started at 12.5 years old, but I probably saw signs sooner. It really depends on the cat - my Rags was fed horrible food, given tons of vaccines and got lymphoma at 15. However, it was treatable and he died of kidney failure at 19.5 years old.

How does a Cat parent help their other Kitty through this? I have lost 2 Of my Sweet Cats. I felt bad for them. I just tried to Love them even more.❤❤
@Floppycats4 ай бұрын
I am not sure, really - other than honoring the loss. There are different schools of thought - don't cry in front of them, etc. I think that's idiotic. If I want to cry, I am not going to run to the other room. I try to keep up our routine as it always was. I talk to him about Trigg, and I play with him every night - kzbin.infocNlvrsS0hTU

I hope Charlie don’t get depressed without Trigg. If you start noticing him getting depressed maybe you should adopt another cat, so Charlie don’t get depressed anyways, that’s your decision. I’m just trying to help so Charlie don’t get depressed.😿
