Hey, pull into the pile and take a load up on the lift, curl the bucket and ease into the pile. Continue lift and curl to obtain as full a bucket as the old wheel tractor will do.

You can’t curl the bucket, it’s a trip bucket

You also are using a continuous PTO. Meaning drive into the pile, clutch in, soft neutral, clutch out, lift bucket, clutch in, put into gear, clutch out, drive.

I hate spending 3 minutes to get 1/2 of a load.

It was definitely a dated piece. Sure did run good for a 70 year old vehicle though

I really never even needed or considered owning any kind of tractor. I bought a piece of acreage in the Sierras in a place called Auberry CA which is in the foothills East of Clovis and Fresno. The old guy selling me the land was going to retire and spend half the time touring in a big RV and half at the beach at his home in Los Osos. He just left me the tractor. I fell in love with the notion that this old rust sculpture was still functional having been born the same year as me, 1948 so when I decided not to build on that lot and sold it, I kept the tractor.
