To your note on comic books being less popular at the con - that's simply the reality for all types of books in this age of electronic entertainment. A crazy and unbelievable fact is that now 50% of published books sell less than 1,000 copies in their first year - I'm not talking comic books this is for 'regular' books published through major publishing houses, this doesn't even look at self-published. And I have to admit I'm part of the problem - Too much of the time I used to spend reading comics and 'regular' books are now spent on streaming video services, audio services (podcasts) and video games. Just typing this makes me realize I need to look at my schedule and carve out more time each day to the written word/page.

It was a striking difference, even though this type of con was set up to be exactly like that. And unless modern comics get better overall, specifically DC and Marvel, comic books will continue to dwindle.
