you go girl! :) i do a lot of bike packing myself on my fatbike which is non-ebike (im oldskool as they say lol) love it, sometimes can be challenging, but still fun, my last trip was Traws Eryri route which is around 120mile & took me 5 days total as i was just plodding along at my own pace, starts in Machynlleth & finishes in Conwy so takes you right through the Snowdonia range, you probably struggled with going up the techy bit on the ebike because the motor simply wasn't powerful enough, there are some ebikes out there would eat most climbs up for breakfast.... but they are not cheap! Anyway great vid, cheers hun :)

Thanks yes u might be right on the motor. It was fine once it was going, I kept stopping due to my lack of confidence and skill on the rough terrain. Practice makes perfect! Congrats on your traws eryri route! 👍

@@Wild.cat.adventures indeed, the confidence will grow over time, no shame in stopping for break/breathers etc, just go at your own pace & enjoy it as thats what its all about :) Also a little tip, see if you can drop any items you taken with you this time that you didn't use as this will save weight & can make a big difference when peddling up hills etc! Took me around 2-3 trips to fine tune my setup, im soon going to do a Scotland bikepacking trip ive planned that will take me all around the base of Ben Nevis etc, be a first for me as in the past my bike packing trips i have always had places to re-stock on drink/food etc each day, but this trip is middle of nowhere once i leave Ft William, so i will have to fully support myself for around 4-5 days, looking forward to it, but also nervous at same time especially as im type 1 diabetic!

G'day Cat, new subber here from a little farm in QLD Australia, very much enjoying your video's. When I saw you using an E-bike over that kind of terrain I simply thought "oh Cat". Often those things that people say are going to make our trips easier & less taxing, more often than not, end up making our journeys far more difficult, I'm an old school gent & as such I prefer to keep things as in line with the old ways that work, that are tried & true as possible, there's a good reason why all the early explorers used their hands, legs & horses lol. I hope the remainder of your trip went smoother than the beginning of it. Ps, Lithium batteries are far worse for the environment than ANY combustible engine on planet earth, if those batteries explode or catch fire, they cannot be extinguished so, ironically in the interests of saving the planet, these new things given the right circumstances are far more harmful to the environment than the old ways would ever be. Anyway, thanks again cat.

@@Wild.cat.adventures I would agree completely Cat 😊, I would however suggest that we can't injure ourselves, get exhausted, turned around or die from exposure from the elements from sitting on the internet, same cannot be said for taking chances on things (e-bikes, sat navigation, ect...) when out in the bush, forests, I'm happy to give things a go when my life doesn't hang in the balance, or depend on those "new things" for survival lol & 🤔 maybe I'm too old fashioned (46 yrs old) for my own good, but having grown up in the bush I can say for an absolute fact, that city dwelling graduates from Cambridge, Princeton or M.I.T have got zero clue about survival in Almighty Gods great out doors 😀👍. But hey we all a free to make our own choices, but personally, I'll stick to a horse, & leave the e-bikes to others or to those who wish to safely zip around town 😀 😊 😉 👍🙏. I enjoy your videos but I have to say Im not a fan of ones like this, with the greatest of respect, you are clearly not a cyclist yet you chose to use an untested bike with untested equipment on a pretty harsh test. Cheap fittings will break and I think you are lucky that you didnt hurt yourself. I was amazed when you said that the bike shouldnt be used in rain - how practical is that? I do enjoy your other videos though, and if you were to carry on using the ebike showing us how you overcame these issues it would be fun (bet you dont though!)
@Wild.cat.adventures2 ай бұрын
I certainly will be using it again although it may be off youtube in the most part. I used to cycle a lot when younger but not in the last 10 years hence being a bit wobbly lol! This ebike is Ipx4 rated meaning it is water resistant and will withstand light splashes and ok in light rain but heavy rain, deep puddles, snow etc should be avoided 👍
