5:50 I saw the brown rope bridge piece I'm always talking about!! I hope it's in good shape. I had that piece from 6270 Forbidden Island and 6071 Forestmen's Crossing. Despite there being so much non-Lego, it's really nice that you got some vintage stuff in there. Especially those island baseplates used in Sabre Island and Shipwreck Island. Thanks for sharing an awesome haul!

Nice haul! Whenever I get Lego from a yard sale and they come in a tote like that, I will fill the tub with scolding hot water and put a little bleach so as to kill anything nasty. Then i put it on a sheet or big towel to dry before sorting it. For the really dusty stuf, I will scrub it with a brush. I also am a Lego purist.

I have reason to believe that you got the lego harry potter original hogwarts castle in that pile, I think this because I saw some big tan and sand green pieces including some of the stair pieces as well as a 2000 lego harry potter student uniform. I can be sure about this but I don't know it might be there :)

That pile reminds me of when I took apart all my Lego Space Police 3 sets, mixed all the pieces together, and then put it all back together. Hope you find some good stuff in that pile!

So.... Here's a tip to sort... Grab a Shovel. Scoop a large pile of LEGO. Put it on your table. Sort. Clean. Repeat. Just an idea because of the large quanity of stuff

Seems like this collection originally was owned by kid's father, than he gifted it to his son, son grew up and got bored of Legos. So, they decided to sell it. Some mini figs and parts are from late eighteenth to early nineteenth, like that blue plate with painted sand and grass.

about 2 months ago got 30 lbs of all Lego for 40 bucks. it was also dirty and I've been separating,cleaning, sterilizing,rinsing,drying and sorting ever since,but definitely worth it. the big difference is I left my tote out in the garage and didn't dump it on my carpet. lol

I totally agre! I have a box of mega blocks from when I was younger. My mom and dad gave them to me saying that they were legos, but they weren't. so now I have a big droor of mega blocks. when we move rooms, my dad and mom do not know the difference, so they put all my legos into that bin. every once and a while I will go in there looking for legos. I can tell they are legos because they are shinier and have more quality. Lol that is my pet peve

I’ve enjoyed a lot of toy collector KZbin before and if you run across some not Lego like G.I. Joe or even Star Wars . . . Some of those can get pricey on eBay. I bet selling Non Lego hauls or trading with vintage toy stores might be worth while.
