@@irishuwould5185 dam i dont hear that very often that many ppl getting that many miles on original motors and trannys. usually about 100 -140k is bout average. i got 149k on my blazer and im on my 2nd motor right now and my tranny has slight issues right now so im already saveing to do a transmission. i never had an issues mechanically really besidedlittle things with the fords ived owned. the 95 f150 i got rid of had 423k on original 302 and transmission b4 the frame cracked on me

My Camry can make from Northern NJ to South Carolina on one tank of gas. That is over 600 miles on 13.5 gallons. These newer vehicles really squeeze out the gas (Or Diesel) miles.

that mpg did surprise me! My 2008 2500hd 6.0 gas truck gets 11-12 empty and about 8.5-9mpg with a car and trailer. that newer technology has come a long way but i can't justify the price difference for me to bite the bullet and get one just yet.

Definitely like the diesel more than the trx. But it amazes me the amount of people who choose to sit there and waste fuel just because it’s cold outside. That’s been disproven time and time again. Letting your vehicle sit there and run to let it warm up is a waste. It’s actually better to start driving it and it will warm up quicker that way, just take it easy until the engine is warmed up.

I have had both bed covers, love them both however loosing the space in the bed gets old after time.. Every now and then when you need to haul something long you kick yourself for the rolling lock. Now its back flips only.

Keep that truck and let's see if the transmission has issues it is commonly called less dependable than the other option but you don't tow much so let's see how it holds up at the mileage you have on that truck a good a transmission service would be great content I'd love to see your face when u see how much the fluid is have a nice day

That fuel economy really isn't too bad, after all a RAM 3500 is basically twice the size of a regular passenger vehicle and I can't imagine it's the last word in aerodynamics (massive cross-section and a Cd of 0.35-0.4 or so). Never risk running it empty though. Re-priming a diesel fuel system is not fun. Oh, and if you aren't following Robot Cantina's channel yet, I suggest you do. His latest project, a 3-cyclinder Kubota diesel in an old Saturn, has been making good progress. Latest MPG was 56 or something.
