When she says "When I was living in Lyon", I thought she meant "León" the Spanish city lol. I've been a subscriber to this channel since 2020, since when can Sophie speak Italian?? After watching this video, she has definitely given some ideas to encourage me to learn new languages this year. Greek and German are my main goals and they've been in my language bucket list forever....But let's be honest, learning them from Spain with no teachers around would be impossible. Congratulations for you video!!! I hope your channel grows and goes big for once this year!!! :)

You can do it though! Just got to find ways to practice and there’s always the possibility of getting a online tutor, if you do decide that you would prefer to have a teacher. Thank you! I plan to be much more consistent this year and post a video each week :)

Wow Sophie! Your foreign language learning program is very ambitious and having already a degree in languages means that you are really good at learning any language. You'll see that you'll make it. Thank you Sophie for your nice video❤💚💙

If you are okay with "language stacking" (= learning one language through another) I highly recommend the book series "Power-Grammatik" by the German publishers Hueber. They have ones for French, Italian and Spanish (as well as a couple more) and they are probably the best language learning resource I've ever seen.

Thank you! I hadn't heard of those books. I took a beginners Korean class through the medium of French during my semester abroad and it was definitely an interesting experience.
