My 2024 Corvette E-Ray wouldn't start after sitting for 2 Week! 😡

The E-Ray has a unique 12-volt lithium ion battery that costs 2x to 3x that of what you can otherwise get a good AGM battery for. The advantage of the Li-Ion battery is weight savings. Page 268 of the 2024 Corvette owner's manual talks about how if your vehicle is "going to be stored longer than a week," disconnect the battery to preserve the life of the 12-volt lithium ion battery. Going back to my C6Z, I've been using a Cetek battery tender 100% of the time my Vette sits in the garage. Easier on the battery, and in turn, easier on me!

Hey, just for future reference, my rule is if I don't plan on driving, or letting it sit for 5 days, I just put the trickler on. I've had my C8 Z06 since 01/23, and never an issue with my battery. At 7K miles now! Congratulations on your E-Ray!!

Battery shouldn't drain in 2 weeks of not freezing weather, unless there is a short somewhere in the wiring or a module. Peace

I think it has to do with the new software update. The last OTA update caused battery draining issues. There is now a recall. My battery died too.

Bro, .. listen to me, .. You mentioned how much fun this car is, and I know it no doubt is, but for sure ... your fun will turn to "absolute exhilaration" with the right aftermarket exhaust! 💯 .. The factory Performance Exhaust is ok, but no competition to the aftermarket offerings. I have a C8 HTC and my car transformed into pure joy once I upgraded the exhaust. Amazing what that extra aural experience does to the overall enjoyment factor. (Full disclosure: I had the factory non Performance Exhaust, but now have MBRP Armor Pro Track exhaust, and it way supersedes any of the factory Performance Exhausts in comparison.)

My brother mentioned using the GM/Chevy to remotely start one on his vehicles. Does this work with Corvettes? I live in Chicago and recently got a call that my ERay will be shipping before the end of the year… I wonder if I can just remotely start the car once or twice a week to let it run to keep the battery charged?

The Eray requires a battery tender to be plugged in if the car will be sitting for more than 1 week… it’s in the manual… its equipped with a lithium-ion 12-volt battery

Probably need to get an anti-gravity battery. It's very pricey but worth it.
