It is so difficult to go through grief when no one taught us to lose the things we love most. There is no manual to follow in these instances but something that can help is sharing your memories, this is a way to immortalize someone. I am so sorry for your loss María Teresa! May Tia Consuelo Rest In Peace. I was saddened to hear of her passing. I do concur that she was the epitome of elegance. I remember one time when she was visiting us in NJ with Tio Rolando.. you must have been very young -I accompanied her on a shopping spree and she was selecting beautiful and classic items for you- she wanted all light clothing for you(white clothing that is - linen preferably) that was probably the last time I saw her and Tio Rolando. It was so evident that you were the apple of their eyes- it was palpable! Sending you a hug- May God continue to bless you and guide you- and May happiness fill your days!

Hiii what a beautiful memory, thank you for telling me that story. She was always dressing me up, up until her last days she would still either compliment my dress or tell me real quick when she thought whatever i was wearing was not elegant ( ..hahaha yes that was her 100%)

Maria Teresa, I am so sorry about your abuelita. My parents passed about 4 years apart. The greatest gift GOD gave me was to witness them take their last breath. My blessing....They watched me take my first breath and I watched them take their last. 🙏🏻

I hope i was able to inspire you to love and spend as much time as possible with your family. Ahhh Maria I’m so sorry. When I lost my grandma I lost my best friend but a year ago I lost my dad on our vacation trip to Dubai. That’s changed me as person & the most devastating experience. But like you, I work on keeping their legacy alive. Sending you lots love ❤️

She was 91 as well, I love that you have that memory with your grandma at your wedding. She must have been so happy on this day to see her little girl getting married.
