I be starting 2024 with a Hobonichi weeks - which I only found existed yesterday !, and the algorithm has taken me on a interesting viewing with how people use their journals (all kinds) and subbed due to cat 🐈‍⬛🐈

definitely love the multiple planner setup and no, it can't get too much ;) haha I only started with my planner journey mid this year and goodness it helped me a lot to keep memories and keep me sane, was the best outlet when things get too cluttered in our heads. The gardening journal made me smile, it would be nice to see the progress of your garden by next year. Would be perfect for photos, too! Just got my hobonichi cousin for 2024 but got tempted with that weeks, might use it for my purchase/expenses tracker coz I badly need help in that space lol excited for the 5-years honestly, such a bulky one but feels too exciting to fill it with thoughts and memories :)

It will be so fun to compare the garden from januari 1 and december 31 next year, there's a lot of work to be done but it's rewarding to make it more green and lively. And I agree, planning is so helpful for 'decluttering' our minds and also for memory keeping. 😊 I hope your system for 2024 will help you and bring you joy!

Cool video! I enjoyed the tour through your notebook stack. :) I use an A6 Hobonichi Planner (trying the Original for the first time in 2024, now that it's available in English) and a Jibun Techo Biz Mini. Aside from that I have a bunch of notebooks that I use for different things: notes (go figure! haha), my journal - and I have an A6 Hobonichi Plain Notebook that I just started using as a currently inked log. I note the pen model, nib, the ink brand and color, and the date when I inked the pen. This year (2023) I was writing this info in the notes pages in my Hobonichi. I decided that I should give that information its own notebook. :) Cheers! Looking forward to watching more of your videos.

Thank you for your comment! I LOVE the A6 Hobonichi Original, I used it for the past 2 years but wanted to try something with bigger pages now. I'm curious about the Jibun, haven't really seen much about it! Thank you for sharing your line-up and how you use your currently inked log 😊

@@ruonpaper Thanks for the reply! There are a bunch of different Jibun Techos. The regular diary has a more colorful layout; the Biz is more gray scale but with Saturdays in light blue and Sundays in light red. The Biz also has Kokuyo's Mio paper, which is wonderful. Very smooth. The other Jibuns have Kokuyo's light paper, which I haven't tried before but I hear good things about. Their planners come in B6 slim or A5 slim. I like the vertical weekly layout for tracking meetings and appointments, and also for writing down how I spend my time each day. I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos. :)

I am in love with your set up! Makes me feel better about going around with 5 different notebooks. I am currently working in an undated bujo style planner but I saw so many cute dated planners, I am not wondering if I should get one of those too (I need at least two planners, one for work and one for everything). This just inspired me lol. I think I will also start a media journal because I want to be more mindful about what I consume. Anyways, I am looking forward to more of your videos!

Swatching on separate pieces of paper does help when you want to compare inks side by side (and it's a little less intimidating than a dedicated journal lol), but I don't regret starting one. It's fun to flip through the journal!

I’ve been trying to decide between the cat cover, the peko chan cover, and the kiki’s delivery service cover from NatsumeHandmade. they’re all such great choices so I’m a bit stuck at the moment. 😅 I used the sterling in B6 full year planner for 2023 and enjoyed it very much. I have never use tomoe river paper before this so it was a cool experience. I totally relate to your planner hopping thoughts/anticipation. I hope these planners and notebooks continue to bring you joy throughout all of 2024. I look forward to watching more of your videos to come! thanks for sharing

I keep finding myself recording some information multiple times (which I don't find too useful) and not really having a place for certain other things. To be honest, I thought that as well before starting one. But I also found that once you start writing interesting things down, you also start to SEE more interesting things to write down throughout the day. The great thing about an undated notebook is that you can take as long as you need to fill it up - you don't have to write a lot 😊

Someone gave me the tip to make sure the notebook has the same paper you write on the most, if possible. That way, you can really see how the ink performs on that specific type of paper. But maybe you already considered that 😊
