love the reading goal of finding books you haven't heard anyone else talk about! i find it's so easy to let other peoples opinions sway my own or to only read books that everyone else is reading. not necessarily a bad thing, but would be cool to read something with fresh eyes and completely open mind! i think i'll add that to my own 2024 reading goals :)

My goal was to read 40 books, and I read 41 ☺️ Going to aim for 50 next year! I like watching monthly TBRs if they are prompts from games/jars, but seasonal sounds good too!

Wooo congrats on surpassing your reading goal!!

10:40 I personally do a loose seasonal TBR because I’m mainly a library user and like to have an idea of books that I’d like to read that season so I can place holds. That being said, I also love watching monthly TBRs especially since many creators use TBR games/jars. Monthly vs seasonal could also depend on how strict the TBR is (my TBRs are very loose, more like here are some wintry books that could be fun to read this winter, plus new books being released during that season, but no worries if I don’t read any/every thing).

Nonfiction I highly recommend: What We Don't Talk About When We Talk About Fat by Aubrey Gordon, The Crying Book by Heather Christle, pretty much anything by bell hooks, and Smoke Gets In Your Eyes by Caitlin Doughty! Hope you have an excellent 2024 ❤🎉

My goal is to switch to reading non-anticipated titles as well as very long books as ebooks. I don't reach for my e-reader enough, but whenever I do, I keep getting surprised just how comfortable it is with all the adjustable settings! And after physical copy of Priory of the Orange Tree messed up my wrists, I kind of really need comfort while reading.

YES big books are so fun but so uncomfy e reader is such a great idea

seasonal TBR worked so well for me personally - it really helped me to just have a list of books that gave me that seasons vibe and freely picking from them! love the blind date with a book idea! im always looking for unheard of gems!

I like monthly tbr's since a seasonal one, by the time the third month rolls around, you may not "feel" the books left. If you pick 8 books per month (2 a week), that gives you options.
