After 30 years of work, here is my take. When we all start out we use the known brands of bags and we store and entire studio in them and lug them around on holidays or trips. As time moves on, you work out you dont need all the lenses or bodies you have, you dont need all the filters and accessories. You then mature and realise the bag is too much, it spells ' expensive gear inside '. I now travel with one camera, one lens and a spare battery. They all live in my normal everyday backpack that any non photographer would use. It stores my camera, drink, food. Ditch the ' camera bag ' and just use normal backpacks. think about this scenario, you take your small camera bag on an overseas trip and realise while on the move its too small to hold your passport, drinks, extra shirt, souvenirs ......they are useless. The only purpose of a camera bag is to store the camera when you are home. Unless you are a working photographer on a job then its a different story, but the average amateur/hobby shooter just wastes money on this stupidly overpriced accessory. When you go out next, look for photography bags in public. I bet you wont see many as they are a pain in the a$$ and not practical when on holidays where you need a bag for flexible storage use. Trust me, get your self a good quality normal everyday backpack and don't waste money on these gimmick bags.

Great video 👌 I carry a Fuji xt50 instead of a Fuji x100 camera and I’ve always thought of getting a x100 camera but have always stopped myself and still would love one after seeing this video and as I’m not too happy with my new xt50 as I find it too small even with a battery grip but I love the Fuji xf18mm f2 focal length

Happy New Year. Nice video with inspiring content to me. One question: while going outside carrying this bag with camera gears, what would be the "water supply solution", ie any way to conveniently bring a water bottle of any kind attached to this bag? Thanks in advance.

That's actually a really good question, one I've been dealing with myself. I want a super small bag (PD 3l sling) and nothing else, but I also need water along the way. So far my solution has been to drink loads before leaving the house, then having to pee every five mins when I'm out and about 😅
