Pro tip: if you're going to Osaka (or other places in Japan), booking a flight can be about the same price to the flight to Tokyo. When I went in December last year it was even cheaper... You'll have opportunities to ride the shinkansen if you move around anyway.
@MagicalHijinx3 ай бұрын
We already had our flight booked before we created the itinerary this way. But thanks!

Also sometimes flights to Tokyo via Osaka (or vice versa) are cheaper than direct flights. Since hotels in Japan are super strict about a check-in time, these connecting flights can be useful to slightly lengthen the trip.

Sup Demi! Wow! All I can say is…you must be exhausted! I don’t know if I could ever do a trip like this. I have a hard enough time taking a 2 and a half hour flight from Philly to Orlando.🤣 Anyway, I’m glad you had a safe trip and I am looking forward to all of the great content you will be posting from this amazing trip. BTW, New York definitely needs to up their game.

Too bad she couldn’t fly first class…you know they get COOKIES up there! No security, though; there really should be a locking door.

Honestly the window wasn’t a big deal because we were trying to sleep but the seats were not comfortable even without a middle seat person

Interesting that you chose to fly through Canada instead of direct flight from JFK or Newark…

It’s was half the price and so worth it, but tbh it’s so close it feels risky but it didn’t even occur to me that there could be an issue until days before the trip

I’m so excited for you! This makes me want to go back to Japan so bad. I have that same pillow and it saved me during that long haul flight. I need a redo of Osaka. I was sick and shut in the 2 days we were there and missed universal 😭 luckily I got better just in time for Tokyo Disneyland! I’m looking forward to your other videos :)

Used to live in Japan and 2 things I didn''t miss was the 14-15 hr flight to and from NY and the terrible Jet Lag. For some reason I felt the Jet lag more when I came back to NY. It's almost impossible for me to sleep on the plane. The best I could do to avoid the Jet lag was to get a full 7-8 hrs of sleep the night before and take an early Morning flight and drink lots of coffee on the flight and you should feel extremely sleepy and ready to hit the sack when you arrive, which is hopefully evening time over there. Enjoy Japan and eat lots of Oishiiii Ramen!!

Thank you for the insight about the trains! Good to know that there are specific ones you have to take if you have bags. I hope you're having a great time!
@MagicalHijinx3 ай бұрын
I believe it’s that there are certain train cars on the trains that you can only sit in so that you can store your luggage. And if it’s already reserved, you have to wait until one is available. But it could also be certain trains in general, tbh it wasn’t very clear.

People talk about Japanese toilets but having space to put your bags in the stalls is a game changer! Not just hooks but sometimes they have shelves 😊
