I'm learning manual as we speak, and I've gotten pretty good at it, too, just to drive this car. The real problem I'm having is the first initial shift from neutral to first coming from a complete stop.

Just go into a parking lot and find the biting point in the clutch?

Like the other guy said, find an empty parking area. Find the biting point and apply a little bit of gas. If you want to find out the biting point, from a complete stop, slowly bring the clutch up and you'll feel and also see the car lift a little, then apply some gas to move off or let it roll (but you shouldn't be using just the clutch to move off ideally). Edit: I know there are a lot of driving instructors from the UK that post some of their own lessons online. If you have any trouble then I'd probably check them out.

What I do is start letting up on the clutch before touching the gas and when the car feels like its about to bog I start giving it gas to complete the transition.

Yes and no. FL5 has better interior, but the FK8 has more power and a body-matching spoiler. Overall I think the FL5 looks better. The giant fake vents on the back of the FK8 look abhorrent.
