I have two tattoos and will be going for the third one after this lockdown. Yes it''s painful but I think the pain has been greatly exaggerated by the OP here. It's not that painful that you need to take some friends or relatives with you. It hurts for like first 60 seconds and that too is reasonably tolerable and then your body get used to it and you can sit for long time. So don't be afraid, just keep in mind that you've to tolerate only first 60 seconds and then it will be a smooth ride.
