This is first time I have ever seen a trans person not have an absolute meltdown at the mere mention of their previous self, let alone have a full conversation about the entire journey. More power to you. I hope this is a lesson to others that you can mention your old name, and show old photos and absolutely nothing bad happens.

I kind of quoted the Belgian poet Emile Veehaeren ' dedicated, with emotion, to the man I used to be' when looking at my past ( the quote referred to the poet, a pacifist, about his changing due to the horrors the Germans unleashed on Belgium and how much he hated the germans by 1915). That person I was got me to the place where i could be myself, they survived the pain of wll those years.

Alexis you are truly a breath of fresh & I am so happy that I stumbled across your channel. Your beauty as a trans woman is not the physical changes or pass ability (you are & have always been attractive even prior to transitioning), it seems to come from within you, your kindness, empathy, warmth, humour & grace radiate from within and that is true beauty. The relationship between you & Liam is testament that no matter what challenges life throws your way, when you genuinely love someone for the person they are, you will always come through the other end ❤

My transdaughter told her dad and I about 10 months ago at 30. To say we were shocked was an understatement because we saw not 1 sign beforehand. She has been on HRT for about 7 months now and is already looking so feminine. I appreciate you sharing your journey because you are just so real an honest. We support whatever she chooses but as a parent it is honestly a bit of a grieving in one way and adjustment in our brains. I worry people will be mean to her but I wish we could protect her from people who won't accept her. Hugs to you.

As another Mum of a biological daughter I can't imagine the huge adjustment of your child changing gender, especially in this climate of negativity. I have a friend who is a blokey mechanic whose son is now a transgender woman. His marriage didn't survive as he eventually accepted and supported his now daughter,his ex-wife has become a nasty alcoholic, shutting out everyone, including their child as her coping mechanism. I don't think that parents are talked about enough. As a parent we just want our kids to be happy and life to be kind to them. I hope you have some good support around you who you can really open up about the roller coaster of emotions you're going through. From what I've seen with my friend it's really tough at different stages. The self blame he had was massive. Thinking if he'd parented differently, been more involved, talked more... It went on and on with his 'What if I...' Fast forward 8 years to the current day, they are so close. His daughter has a great job, they have a truly wonderful relationship and he's fiercely protective of her. There's light at the end of the tunnel and please remember you're human, no parent is immediately going to say 'wonderful, great decision and I have no questions'. You're Mum and Dad to your child and wouldn't be feeling all those emotions if you didn't love and care for your child. Please take care of yourselves and your child. PS; Sorry for the essay.

Any advice welcome, my sister has been on HRT for about 2 years almost and she has nit changed. There is mental heakth issues to factor in and i know its in her own time. However, i thought something wouldve changed now. Ive bought her clothes gave her my old bralettes and even taught her how to do make up. I am not sure how else i can encourage her because we love her so much 🥹💖
@ApricusInaros5 ай бұрын
You have an understandable reaction. The medical side cannot be ignored. Committing to HRT for the rest of the life means becoming a patient for life. The older the body gets the more it struggles to keep healthy. I cannot imagine how it must be adding HRT to increase the pressure on the body. The average life expactancy decreases between 6 to 7 years. But then again, a life needs to be well lived, being happy even if that comes at certain a cost. Nothing is for free in life, all has its cost in some way or another.

Alexis, as a hairdresser who looks at every clients bone structure, hairline, growth patterns and hair texture on the daily to work out what it complimentary and flattering overall... I have to give you credit for the colours and styles of wigs and clip ins you've used (and still do) to aid in your transition. I'd love to see you with a very subtle balayage/ babylights in a slightly lighter caramel/chocolate brown to show off the curls and movement in your hair. If done well it also gives the illusion of being thicker too. Your hair looks really good now, this is only a suggestion if you feel like a wee bit of a change. The biggest change I've noticed is that now when you smile, your eyes smile too. I hope Liam and yourself had a lovely holiday relaxing away from work and the rat race, thoroughly enjoying the break together. Take care from Australia. 🇦🇺

As a transwoman, keyword trans woman, it's actually nice to see people not go after transsexuals on here despite their disagreements with the ideology that the modern LGBTQ128484ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ are doing, thanks for that. Hopefully if there's more trans people who can speak out like this, we who are not trying to infringe on womens rights, can continue to exist without the UK becoming Russia and Hugary, that's one of my fears about the concerns about the whole modern world. People assume I'm an AGP, implying I get sexual arousal from this when gender dysphoria is a real struggle and it's hard to be an ally to TERFs because they automatically assume I am "one of them" and several women who are TERFs haven;t faulted me which is a breath of fresh air, so thanks everyone who isn't giving Alexis and people like Blaire, Buck and Marcus the same crap most trans people, the ones who don't erase the trans identity and women's ones, get for no reason other than what the modern community is doing

I want you to know how much you’ve helped me. I’m a cis straight woman but I’ve gone through Botox , nose job, fillers, the lot. I get called a TERF all the time which makes me so sad because I have so many transsexual friends who are nothing but men/women to me. Just my friends. They all pass. I know it’s hard to pass and much respect to it, I just know that if someone is trying hard to pass then they are also trying hard not to make women uncomfortable. You’re a beautiful person inside and out and I wish I had your confidence. And yes I cannot see you as anything but a woman. The only issue I have are when people take advantage of Self ID. Just know to me, you’re a woman, you’re gorgeous, you’re unbelievably sweet and caring and ai hope someday I can meet you and tell you how much I admire you. Never let anyone tell you that you aren’t one of us. You out in the work and I cannot possibly imagine you as a man. I’m not trying to bump you up or anything, I’m dead serious. I respect that for many it is too painful and too dysphoric for folks to look back on if they can avoid it. I appreciate you being vulnerable enough to share with us, and that you had enough support to transition with Liam by your side! I also do not expect everyone to be in that place nor do they need to be. Seriously thank you so much for your videos! I was raised in an ultrconservative family, which was great in providing a stable foundation for life. However, going out into the world exposed me to many things that were new, unfamiliar, and confusing. As I've gotten older, and watched so many changes happen in the world, I just wanted to understand, be helpful, compassionate, and kind; to understand different lives & experiences without damning those who were different from me. Your videos offer a glimpse into your life, let us see the challenges you've faced, the grace you've walked thru them with. You have given your opinion on subjects that impact the Trans community and women with calm dignity & clarity. I just wanted to say thank you.

Your oldest pictures made me weirdly nostalgic. Then I figured out that when you first started with makeup full time and what clothes suited you it was like looking at old pictures of girls in their teens. At first the makeup is a little wonky, the clothes are a little too everything, The heels look like you can hardly walk in them. So, I thought about it and I came to the conclusion that you went through your female teen years only accelerated. And you turned out gorgeous. I don't mean the surgeries. God, you're so brave! Just the evolution of style and learning yours.

Alexis: I cannot relate to gender dysphoria or being trans, but I can relate to what comes across as a wonderful person. I don't think that is because you are a woman but because you are a good spirit. To me a 74 year old woman you were handsome as a man and beautiful as a woman. Liam is a lucky man. I do think in spiritual terms you have to thank the man that you were (even if he made you unhappy) because he is the father of the woman that you are and he sure took good care of you when he was he, because you are a very lovely her. I think the face swap did a pretty good job. I like the Christmas one too. You're very harsh on old you, but I think you passed almost immediately. The hair transplant one looked pretty brutal, although, as menopause has thinned my hair so much, if even consider it for myself!! The one where you're in the bathroom, jeans and leather jacket ... no comment 😂 I knew it wasn't a straightforward journey, and have seen pictures of you and other trans people on their journeys, it just brings it more into perspective. I think the halfway point's probably the most difficult. I think you and Liam have a great dynamic and have a lot of fun, you're both entertaining to watch. I can't lie ... your face post lip surgery ... I did laugh!! 😂 Your hair has grown quite long since you originally started the transition. Your face is definitely more and more smiley since you transition, and I'm so jealous of your make up skills, plus your face has definitely changed. I think you passed almost straight away though, but our perception of ourselves is usually very different to how people really see us 💕

Granted she must not have paying full attention because you announce it at the beginning of every video but that aside... I'd take it as a sign that you're doing amazing with your transition. Essentially her instinct categorized you as female until the content made her take notice and second guess.

Hello Alexis and editor Liam. Alexis, thank you for sharing something so personal with the group. Gee you have been through a lot. We all have traits of our parents, be it male or female. I have my mother's beautiful skin, however I don't have my dad's sticky out Yoda ears😂😂😂 When I had brain surgery in 2019 though I walked by a mirror ( please note. I was covered in bandages) and I saw myself.... I looked just like my dad. Minus the Yoda ears. I do admire both of your strength & courage. I imagine you both have had some rough times. It is so nice to see the love between the two of you. Makes an old bird very happy. Jane in New Zealand 🇬🇧🇳🇿

Hi Alexis!! Love you and Liam!! I have a question, did you go through a mourning period? Letting go of the old you? When you said you were feeling sad, I had the thought that maybe even though you have transitioned and are so happy, you miss the old you a bit? You are a beautiful woman!! Love you and your videos!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
