My 41st Birthday Adventure ║ Large Family Vlog

In this video, we're going on a nature adventure for my 41st birthday. Along the way, Sophia serenades us with a song we sing at church. The lines are: Jesus, Prince of Peace, Glory, Hallelujah. Sophia's version: Jesus, Pick a speed, Glory, Our life is spared. Her version was way cuter than the original. Then we discovered that she loaded up in the van without any shoes. Nothing we could do about that now! Once we arrived at our picnic destination, Judah was impressing us with how he could jump onto the picnic table. Tom figured he could still do it, too. He couldn't.

The hard part for me is watching the intro and seeing the littlest girls faces. All those kids need their mama. But God is really good at filling in the gaps. They'll never "get over" losing their precious mom but they can still have great lives. It'll just be different now. :(

Well I actually chuckled when Claudia said " Mumma I forgot my shoes"...and she went the whole day with no shoes, running bare feet through the woods...she survived:)... and then I think of all the nasty comments Tom got over Hannah not having shoes on occasionally when they went to the little store in town. You see, Andrea wasn't perfect. A child left the house with no shoes that day, everyone lived. Everyone still had what looks to be a fabulous time. In death sometimes we tend to make people perhaps more "perfect" than they were, Andrea herself I'm sure would be the first one to say " I'm not perfect!"...and laugh! This was such a small thing but it truly brought into perspective how people have been judging Tom over simple things like, a toddler with no shoes on, who gets carried all the time anyway ( back then she was littler when that happened a couple of times). I wish I'd seen this video to point out to those nasty nellies...nobody's perfect. As parents we just try to do the very Best we can do. This family is blessed to have so much of the children's lives chronicled in this videos.

It just really hit me as soon as I heard her say that she forgot her shoes, I immediately flashed back to the nasty comments about Hannah occasionally not having shoes on. I’ve been going back and watching old videos of Andrea again. I do this from time to time. It’s like visiting with a good friend and very comforting. She was such a gem. At the end of this video I noticed the shot of Tom and all of the kids at the water’s edge and Andrea panned back. They were all there together and happy, but she wasn’t with them. It struck me profoundly. Only God knew the plan. I’m so glad Tom and April were brought together. I’m sure if Andrea is able to have a glimpse of her family on earth she would be happy for them all. She is at peace, and Tom and their kids are carrying on with their lives accordingly. Loving each other and God and honoring Andrea’s memory. God bless them all.

Im REALLY gonna miss her laugh and the serenity she exuded. She touched many people in this world, she left us too soon and unprepared for the enormity of loss and grief we're feeling (i know I'm struggling with it all and i wasn't fortunate enough to meet/know her) she welcomed us into her home, her family and their quiet peaceful life like an old friend or a beloved relative; I'm grieving for that and for her family but i know she's not in pain anymore.

i doubt you’ll ever see this comment and i’m just some random teenager on youtube lol, but this video among many of others on your lovely channel truly define family. I have watched your channel for about two years wishing my family was just like yours. Of course i love my own family, but the bond and overall energy the mills family carries is beautiful. i know it may sound weird especially since i of course don’t personally know you all, but Andrea was almost like a mother figure to me! i’ve learned so many lessons from watching the videos. I feel such a source of comfort and peace when tuned in. tom you have done a more than amazing job these past 10 months. not only have you become a single father , but a good one. God knew what he was doing when Andrea started making videos. now you have so many amazing memories too see whenever you want. this video is my favorite. the joy in it is so incredible. i wish you the best and i think April is such a lovely addition to the family as well as her kids.
