@ I don’t know when and where you are going, but we went in winter and visited Snow Monkey park, which was incredible. Gosh there is so much but generally if you love Japan or japanese culture you will love everything, but would definitely recommend to just wander around residential areas and not just stick to the main spots. I think it’s charm is in the most random cafes and corners you will find. Get an eSIM beforehand, for translating and finding your way around. For an over the city view, Tokyo metropolitan government building has free entry and they are often having light shows on the building as well. Also of course visiting a Ryokan but research where tattoos are allowed. Also usually you get to bring two check in suitcases, pack as light as you can and definitely take one empty, you will have no trouble filling it up😅
